My twitter was full of nice words about Anna's lutz when she beat Alina, and no one care that she felt a lot in previous competitions. But in general they are freaking out about woman's quads. But if they were willing to think, they would see that Yuzu don't have typical man's body. He is very fragile for man. I don't know if I'm that much for woman's quads but I always think about that that if he is able to jump that amazingly, then girls are probably too. It's just something new we are not used to see.

They was talking about how Eteri is not able to work with older skaters after Nats (Yea Alina is really old, isn't she?). That she just abuse them and when they are older she kick them out or ruin them because it's harder to work with them. Now they see she is not kicking Alina anywhere and already the team teach her quads seriously. So suddenly they change mind and poor girl is abusing from her coach who want only ruin her health for her profit. Maybe also because everyone is saying the girls will loose quads as they getting older, Alina already grown a lot and she is on the righ way to do it, that's what people don't wanna to see, because it don't fit into their teory. Also it ruin their theory that she is done.

Like come on? People don't have other things to do then pernamently drag succesful people for basicaly everything they do?

lol exactly. first eteri is throwing alina out, now she is forcing alina to do quads. i wonder what they will say when alina starts landing the quads in competition :scratch2: i'm sure they'll think of something :laugh:

I love how, after winning the Olympics, Alina not only stays around (despite the occasional struggles - which are completely natural, though unfortunate) but also even upgrades her tech content! What a wonderful girl :luv17:

Thanks zenskate. It's already after midnight in Czech republic (I have some stuff to school to finish), but I'm laughing hard. You really made my day. They called Alena is grandmother? So that means Alina is really old. And what about me? I'm 23. God damn!! :shocked: Why nobody warn me?

Also, yea I'm mostly happy for our beloved Alina! :hap10: I'm just really mad at people acting like this!
 
The world would be a better place if everyone started to take hints from Alina.

Here are my wishes for her (also part of what I learned from her):

- Don't be discouraged by challenges, be encouraged by them and rise to the occasion. We are constantly learning and evolving.
- Believe in yourself and you will have no limits.
- Life is not one endless victory lap but it is your own personal stage to shine, do your best in that moment, if that moment was perfect rejoice, if it wasn't rest assured that other moments will come and your hard work will shine through.
- You are amazing and loved, so love others back, give back to the world and the world will give it back to you tenfold.
- Only you are living your life, having your experiences, inhabiting your skin, so listen to yourself first and foremost. Respect yourself, respect others and trust those who love you.
- The past is what has already happened, learn from it, fondly remember it if it was good and make peace with it if it wasn't what you expected.
- The future is your own private canvas to paint the stories you want to live, use your brightest colors, be creative, make up the rules, enjoy life and live it to the fullest.

I'm actually quite happy for Alina to try something new. It's always good to see people push themselves, and I commend her for trying a quad.

My main objection, however, is the same as my objections to lots of quads. Please don't pre-rotate it.

Fair points. It's kind of shocking news so why is she doing it now with Europeans and worlds on the horizon shouldn't she be doing this in the offseason?

Also Alina is much much bigger than Sasha and Anna especially Anna is she too big to even do quads cleanly? Sasha and Anna are both well under five feet tall. Alina is well over 5 feet tall. Again while this is exciting news I'm puzzled that she's doing it now and not in the off-season. That Alina has the guts to do this as reigning Olympic champion when she doesn't have to is showing great tenacity and courage.

Alina to Alina! I love these Kabaeva to Zagitova comments. I was so upset when Alina Kabaeva blew the olympic gold medal in 2000 then I was so happy when she won olympic gold in Athens 4 years later. And then almost 14 years later I was so happy when Alina Zagitova won Olympic gold.

I agree with you it's absolutely unbelievable that she's doing this less than a year after her incredible Olympic gold medal victory. She said in the heist and you're in a great example for everyone especially her little sister and training mates. Amazing.

On a side note I saw the video of a Lena practicing the quad and it's exciting to see but's a bit risky when she's going to do it without the assistance of a trainer. Is this the video that brought the trolls out from under their rocks? Lol.

I'm certain she will soon. The NY holidays there normally start 31st and continue till 10th or so, so she could/should have a full two week break, though she'll probably be itching to get stuck in again. Sabina in particular must be missing her big sister tremendously this year.

I cannot imagine a better morning than one when I’m able to read both more about Alina’s quads and this hilarious Japanese list :laugh: I look forward to the continuation!
