I find it interesting and it's not directed at you specifically that when calculating the US ladies chances that there is always the assumption that one of the Korea ladies is automatically above them. Yet we have at least 3 US ladies Ting, Mariah and Bradie who have all scored above the best Korean competitors. According to the ISU seasons best no non Russian or Japanese skater has outscored Bradie this season internationally and only Leona Hendrixx and Elizabet Tursynbaeva. One of those being early summer scores which they have yet to acheive again during the season at a competition where the scores ran very high. The korean skaters are much further down the list. Not sure who they are sending to worlds.
All in all I think their odds are good and there really is no one on the international scene right now who is completely unbeateable.
I would say we now have a few medal contenders at the Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix:
- If Ting goes clean, then she can probably grab one or two
- If Bradie gets ideal assignments, she can grab one, MAYBE two
- If Hanna lands her 3A and goes clean, she can grab one, but I don’t see her getting 2
- If Alysa improves her technique and lands everything, she can grab two and a trip to the Final
- We have a dark horse with Audrey Shin who could probably grab a Bronze if she doesn’t let her nerves get to her
Hanna has only said she’s working on 3a. Not that she has it or that it’s even close. I think she can medal without 3a anyways, depending on her assignment. But in this prediction is she on the JGP or Senior?

It's Eunsoo Lim. And the ONLY reason I would place her below Tennell in terms of potential is that she's from the Korean Fed instead of the big four. Sorry. She medaled at a GP event, which Bell couldn't do.
I said their main competitors anyway. They could beat her. Or they could not.
Does a lady now have to have a 3a just to medal on the JGP? Or would she be making up for other flaws with the 3A? (I just don’t have time to follow juniors much, wish I did).
Not necessarily. However, it will help to fight against Eteri’s upcoming Juniors who might or might not have Quads.
I was referring to Starr picking up a host selection - as injuries wear on throughout the season, they'll be looking for lower tier skaters. As I said, she is popular and has crowd-pleasing programs. And she won't be a threat to local talent.
Eunsoo medaled at a GP event (Rostelecom) because the level of competition was worse than both of Mariah’s...not because she actually skated better than Mariah during the GP season. Mariah actually beat Eunsoo in a GP this season. But yes I also believe that Eunsoo could be tough for both Mariah and Bradie..
It is time for USA to see an African American skater on the podium representing our country. Other countries all over the world recognize equality better.

I'm uncertain exactly what you mean. If you are saying it would be great to have an AA skater do well enough to make a podium, I don't necessarily disagree, although I try very hard to live a color-blind life.
If you're saying that Starr should be some sort of affirmative action selection to a podium or should receive international assignments on the basis of her skin color, then I could not disagree more.
Medals are only part of the story. Eunsoo has a reliable 3-3.
I think it's best to ignore this poster. That post looks instigative.
