Yes very exciting interview as I want her to skate to more driving music as well! I think she can pull it off. And in the next question she answered her free program for next year is close to her state of mind so hopefully they will announce it soon.

Can’t believe we got an interview and an Instagram post all in the same day! Hoping she will post more in the off season.

Gahhhh I need them to announce at least one of her programs already, the anticipation is real!!!
 
I also hope Alyona gets some "aggressive" music this season! I'm super curious what they've chosen for her FS music!

I know that some people find that Alyona's skating is "cold" or that her face is "expressionless," and I feel like part of that might be because there's a disconnect between her appearance/skating quality (elegant, refined princess) and her actual personality (giggly, mischievous wild-child). :biggrin: Team Tutberidze give her a lot of refined/elegant programs, but that means that she has to rein in her natural imp side. That's why I've been hoping she gets some darker music (aggressive works too!) so that she can bring out more of her real personality. :yes: And that's why I think the vampire program was so awesome for her. More like that, please! :agree:

I don’t understand how people can say she is expressionless. The only time I have seen anything close to lacking expression was her LP at JGP Linz where she looked nervous and LP at JGP Ostrava where she was sick and injured. She gave a very intense facial expression during her tango SP, had an ethereal expression to Stella’s theme, played a fallen angel giving steely looks after falling from heaven (maybe this is what people are talking about) and a romantic Juliet, all very different and matching the music.

Well, I think Alyona is extremely expressive; she uses her entire body to express the music. :yes:
I'm just pointing out that this is one (rare) criticism I've seen in other threads. Personally, I'd take Alyona's more subtle facial expressions that some fakey, overdramatic face-pulling any day! :agree:

OMG, the joint hand-heart (with their heads together) is TOOO CUTE!!! :love: :love:

In Alyona Kanysheva's IG story with her 4T, you could see our angel-vampire skating by...I hope she isn't too discouraged by all these other girls getting quads... I really hope that she's able to get her 3A back, at least, but I also don't want her to push herself too hard in an attempt to catch up with the other girls. Slow and steady wins the race! :yes:

I know! It must be hard for her. On the one hand, of course I want her to get her 3A back. But on the other I do not want her to risk her health again, especially as we still have 4 months until the test skates.
I am hoping for a program announcement this week, but if we don’t get one, I am glad to at least have these training photos to know she is back on the ice working for next season.

Yes I am glad they both have each other as support as they recover from injury.

We are getting so much alena content this week!! Hopefully a program announcement is coming soon!

They make a very nice couple. In an interview a long time ago Alena said there was someone special she liked and I bet it was this boy. ;)

I can't wait for.Alenas debut season. It could be very special if she's healthy.
