Alena Kostornaya
Alena Sergeyevna KOSTORNAIA / Alyona Sergeyevna KOSTORNAYA (Russian: Алёна Сергеевна КОСТОРНАЯ) is a Ladies single skater who represents Russia. She was born on 24[SUP]th[/SUP] August 2003 in Moscow, Russia.
Alena is the 2020 European champion. She is also the 2019-20 and 2018-19 Russian nationals silver medalist, 2018 Russian Nationals bronze medalist, the 2018 Russian Junior Nationals silver medalist, the 2019-20 Grand Prix Final champion, the 2018-19 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, 2017-18 Junior Grand-Prix Final silver medalist, and 2018 Junior Worlds silver medalist.
She is currently coached by Evgeni Plushenko and Sergei Rozanov. She was previously coached by Eteri Tutberidze, Sergei Dudakov, Daniil Gleikhengauz, and Sergei Rozanov. Before that, she was coached by Marina Cherkasova and Elena Zhgun.
Alena was among the strongest skaters in the lead up to the 2018 Russian Junior Nationals in Chelyabinsk. Unfortunately, she got injured and had to withdraw from this competition.
After the injury Alena started to show unstable results and struggled during the 2016-2017 season before moving to Tutberidze.
