Has Dai shared his plans for summer? Like ice shows or some other activity?
Did he confirm if he is going to compete again internationally?

Here is Dai's Official Site with his schedule. As of right now the only show listed is Hyoen. He usually does
Shiz's Friends on Ice in late August but it is not on his schedule.

There was a kind of sneak preview of "Like the Moonlight" at the Worlds opening ceremony. Shizuka, Stephane, Akiko, Nobu and Kanako performed on the ice. (Dai didn't perform, which is understandable because he declined to compete at the competition.)

Ahhh, those costumes are gorgeous! Can't wait to get more promo material. I'm ok with Dai not participating in the performance. It would've been very uncharacteristic of him to hog the spotlight like that. His humility is one of the personality traits he's known and loved for (as once more confirmed by Dice Murakami).

Thx, demarinis! The Vogue stylists and photographers know how to capture and enhance his beautiful facial features. His two shoots for the magazine and his Yoshitsune styling are among my (admittedly many) favourite looks on him.

Wish they'd sell A2 prints of this one, so I can frame it and hang it on my wall :

Re. Dai's plans: He hasn't confirmed his participation in international competitions yet, just stated he'd like to compete as long as his body allows him to and maybe do a B-comp or GP next season. He recently said he wants to keep practicing the 4F. Knowing how happy it would make him, I'm keeping my fingers crossed he'll succeed at landing a clean one in competition. As always I just hope he listens to his body and is being careful.

His current schedule includes several TV appearances to promote Hyoen:

I remember he said he would decide his plan for next season, including his first competition by the end of March. In recent interviews, he was positive about competing internationally.

JSF usually announces their national team for new season late April. If Dai is among them, it is likely that he will be sent to an international competition.

Can't wait. I really want to see Dai again.

Dai has announced that he will keep "Pale Green Ghost" for next season and change his SP.
He said that he may compete internationally but not at the beginning of the season.
He says that he will be focusing on domestic competitions with his main focus on Japan Nationals.

I am so glad he is keeping PGG it is such a wonderful program!

Daisuke at Montreal Worlds maybe? Hopefully?:party::party:

:love::love: Re costume: personally I'd like Daisuke wear the same design with a different color, say, shining deep blue. Either the same gray one or another color, I do hope he'll keep those short gloves as well. :o:

Redgreendress kindly translated a few bits provided through fan reports (thx everyone for sharing!) He might go for an upbeat, dancey SP. Yes, please!!! And he confirmed once more that competing internationally is not really on his radar for next season, but he might be interested in doing Japan Open if he gets invited.

I concur with deedee and other fans that he should keep the half-gloves for PGG. They go so perfectly with the theme.

Edit:

He disclosed he's gonna keep practicing the 4S with the goal of putting it in his layout along with the 4T.

Edit no. 2:

Just found a video from the "D-color Asakusa" event that was held a couple of days ago to present the completed building to the press (unfortunately the video doesn't show any of the apartments' interior):

Dai talked about Hyoen and looking forward to performing with Stephane in a recent tv interview:

In honor of the announcement the Daisuke plans to compete at least nationally in 2019-20, I did a quick brushup on the OPs...I added his national, regional, and sectional results and fixed all the icenetwork links. I added links to recent videos of all sorts, but have not had the heart to go through al the video links to replace dead ones yet. I will try to get to it.

Locari conducted a follow-up interview with Daisuke, which will be available in the near future. As an appetizer they published a couple of pictures and a making of video featuring a relaxed and cute Dai-chan :luv17:, shot on the top floor of the completed "SKYCOURT D-iberte ASAKUSA" apartment building:

Dai graced the cover of the April 22 issue of AERA, a weekly magazine, which featured a 5-page article about him.

He said he regretted that he had his hair cut.

He talked about his future career in skating as well as Hyoen 2019: Like the Moonlight. He wants to compete as long as possible and also wants to have an ice show company in which artistic skaters can have their careers.

Thank you:thank:

It's rather an old article from Number magazine (Jan 17th edition, originally), but has been up on their Web just recently. https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/article?a=20190501-00839101-number-spo

Nothing new to his fans so to speak but Dai talks happily about his comeback with more details; e.g. what made him/how it lead him to make such a decision eventually, why he declined JSF's offer for the Worlds spot. Very interesting read. :)

Dai participated the Athlete Check, the annual physical exams of the national team skaters by JSF, for the first time in 6 years in March or April.

https://youtu.be/3k2sTXntY7c

Even though he is not currently training hard, his physical conditions were even better than 6 years ago. In the interview, it is important to accumulate date of skaters from different generations as the FS techniques have been and will be changing.

One hour program to promote Hyoen 2019: Like the Moonlight was aired today, but it was limited to the Kanto/Tokyo area. But thanks to Uni, you can watch on YouTube. :)

Dai visited to Kyoto to experience the world of the Tale of Genji.

0:00 - Byodo-in, an old Buddhist temple that symbolizes Heian Period (794-1185), in which the novel was written.

9:04 - Amon Miyamoto's work performed in the US and France

16:51 - He visited Nonomiya Shirine, a Shinto shrine described in the novel.

18:45 - The Tale of Genji Museum to see the life style of the aristocrats in Heian Period

22:54 - Rokusei, a restraint that serves the Heian Period cuisine recreated for modern age

25:33 - He visited a Gagaku(ancient Japanese classical court music) group and learned to dance to their music.
The piece he danced to is titled "Seigaiha (blue see waves)", and Genji and his best friend Tou-no-Chujo dance in the novel.

Although Like the Moonlight is based on the Tale of Genji, some characters were changed from the novel and some original characters were added, and the story is Miyamoto's Original.
