1. What was the first program you saw?
I know I saw Legends at Worlds because I watched the men’s SP but I don’t really remember it. I do remember Turandot…
I thought he had potential but….
2. When did you realize you loved Shoma?
A year later at Worlds after his SP. Everyone were great but his skate was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. When he jumped that gorgeous 3A I gasped and that was it.
3. What is your favorite jump?
Of course the 3A!
4. What is your favorite spin?
The combination spin. Like

5. Have you ever seen Shoma perform live? If so, where?
Only once. The Helsinki Worlds.
6. Which program has your favorite choreography?
Loco. After answering 28 I’m going to add Moonlight Sonata here. Even though it’s “simple” the choreography is just right for that song. Every move is perfect and appropriate.
7. What song would you love to see Shoma skate to?
Gravity by Sara Bareilles
8. What warhorse (overused song) would you want to see Shoma perform to?
None!
9. What was your reaction to Shoma winning an Oly medal?
I think I screamed and then I cried. My memories about the Olympics aren’t that clear though. It was so early and I was so sleep deprived.
10. If you could play any video game with Shoma, what would you play?
I have no idea.
11. What is your favorite Shoma quote?
Can’t remember the exact quote anymore but something like wanting to beat himself from yesterday. Basically meaning he always wants to grow and evolve.
12. If you could meet Shoma, what would you want to tell him?
I would like to thank him for his beautiful performances and also for inspiring me to make changes for better in my life.
13. What is your favorite pictures(s) of Shoma?

Very hard to choose though because I have never seen someone who is this photogenic!
14. What is your opinion of Shoko-chan?
I LOVE HER!!
15. Would you rather see Shoma become a coach or a choreographer?
Can’t choose. Both. He has a lot to offer in both areas.
16. What is your favorite costume?
Moonlight Sonata.
17. What is your least favorite costume?
Probably some of the junior costumes.
18. If you could spend an entire day with Shoma, how would you want to spend it?
It would be great to skate with him. He could teach me a thing or two about skating. I want those edges!
19. Do you own any Shoma merchandise? (i.e. Colantotte necklace)?
I have three calendars.
20. If they made a biographical movie about Shoma, what actor would you want to play Shoma?
I can’t think of anyone. He’s so unique.
21. If Shoma starred in a movie, what kind of movie would you want to see him in?
Comedy
22. Have you ever cried while watching Shoma perform? If so, when?
4CC FS. There is probably other times too but I get so caught up in the performance that I hardly ever remember anything exact.
23. What is your favorite EX skate?
This town and Time after time.
24. If Shoma recycled a program, which one would you like to see again?
Stairway to heaven because it’s a fantastic program and I’d love to see him skate it with his full potential.
25. Do you own Itsuki's book?
No
26. What would you throw to Shoma on the ice?
Probably just a letter.
27. If Shoma switched to pairs or dance, who would you want his partner to be?
I can’t think of anyone specific. Someone that has as good skating skills than Shoma.
28. What is your favorite program?
Ladies in lavender for sentimental reasons and also the step sequence! Loco because it’s LOCO! Moonlight Sonata because it’s really shows his strong presence and amazing skating skills. I often notice that I’m almost holding my breath when I watch that program. I don’t want anything to disturb the atmosphere. What a horrible questionnaire. I can’t choose!
29. What is your least favorite program?
Probably some junior stuff again.
30. Why do you love Shoma?

: Well I’ll try to sum it up. There are plenty of skaters I’ve liked and thought that they are great performers. But then I saw Shoma skate, it was so much better than anything I’d ever seen. He just flows on ice. The edges, the arms, the back. He uses his whole body to express. And then on top of that he does difficult jumps. He works hard and constantly wants to become better. Off ice I love his good soul. He never puts blame on others, he’s kind, thoughtful and honest with his feelings. He stays true to himself and doesn’t care too much about what others think. I love his mischievous side that he’s been showing lately. Not everything is so serious!
