I rewatched today Liza Tursynbayeva's ex at Worlds.
It is very sad that Denis did not live to see her win this medal, and become the first senior lady to land a quad. I'm sure that he would be more than proud of her, and happy. Wherever he are now, hope he watched it and was proud and happy.

I thought the same, and missed him all over again. I'm sure many, many, thousands watching did, also.

Has there been any news about renaming Halyk Arena after Denis Ten, as the petition was asking in February? I read that currently the arena is named for the biggest bank in Kazakhistan, Halyk, which paid a large sum in 2016-2017? for 3 years of naming rights. If so, that would expire soon and perhaps the timing would be right.

I've never seen Liza Tursbaeva skate (not talking about jumps and things) so beautifully as in her tribute to Denis Ten at the Exhibition at World's. That was very moving.

Have you heard Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazakhstan?

His voice is really amazing!!!

to say the truth... it seems to me he still thinks about playing with his voice, not about creating a harmonious (balanced) song, maybe he still learns to cope with such a voice (sorry, that I say such a thing)
I really hope he will make it sound like a song! (not like some pieces of songs)

Sorry. Of course, I had seen Denis skating to "SOS d'un terrien en detresse", but somehow I didn't remember the voice. Yesterday it seemed to me I heard this voice for the first time. I thought about Ten's program, but I didn't rewatch it.

So sad :sad21: To think only a year ago Denis had just put on his big show...

I thought about him and his family and friends on Thursday. I say a prayer for them at church every week as well. Such a sad loss.

The "denisten_official" ig account posted a series of pictures and video clips of Denis with Daisuke Takahashi from when they followed their mutual invitations to "Denis and Friends" and "Christmas on Ice" respectively in 2014.

The first set of pictures is accompanied by the following words (google translation) :sad46::

DT 2. That was the name of the number that Dice and Denis performed in the ice show "Denis and Friends. Olympic Energy." The number was a kind of battle, where at the end friendship, the real friendship of Dice and Denis, wins.

On July 1, 2018, Denis published the news about Daisuke’s return to figure skating, which he was very pleased about.

Daisuke will fly to Almaty for the anniversary to commemorate his friend Denis. Unfortunately, he will not be able to take part in the ice tribute show.

Dice, thank you for the true friendship and reverent attitude to the memory of Denis.

Denis' homeland is always open to all friends and fans of Denis.

p.s. A real friend does not need invitations

It's been a year today. I hope many skaters and skating fans remember and post on social media. We won't forget Denis. RIP, and may the show be a success tomorrow!

to echo Kaitlyn Weaver, it still doesn't feel real. I will never forget Denis - a Renaissance man in the skating world.
