Glad we finally got Aliona’s feature video. There was a lovely bit of choreo down the ice in the video. I wonder if it’s her choreo seq or just transitional movement. Looking forward to seeing her programs in 2 days!

Also glad to see her flip toe combo. It didn’t have the best landing but got huge height and distance as we have come to expect from Aliona.

I'm so happy for Aliona! I didn't think it was possible, but to me she got even better and mature. Also, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think she used to have a flat edge on her lutz, and now I'm seeing an obvious outside edge with the new entry. If that's right then it's amazing!!
I love her attitude as well, very calm.

Ooh, that would be so sweet if Darya did do her hair! :luv17: But I kind of hope not, because I thought Aliona looked *STUNNING* with that hair and make-up and I hope she can do that at every competition she goes to--not just the ones where Darya can help her! :yes:

Adding to my concern is the fact that Eteri gave her a very enthusiastic response--which reminds me of Jr Nationals, and now we know that's because Aliona was fighting through the pain of her injury.

I *really* hope she's not injured again.

Also, I wonder why they changed the jump layout. I guess the lutz edge looks clearer this way, but she wasn't getting called for her lutz recently, and I miss the whole split jump - walley entry to the 3Lz+3T combo. This layout has a slightly lower base value, so I wonder what they're thinking...

I guess we'll get a clearer picture of her condition tomorrow! GOOOO Aliona!
