All I can say after the short at Skate Canada is "Wow!" Those scores are HUGE.
...…..What? I haven't seem scores......Which skaters are in the top 3!!...…..What? I haven't seem scores......Which skaters are in the top 3!!
Bradie should have been ahead of Trusova imo - better spins, better skating skills, better performance. Think it was the UR that did it, but Bradie is really killing it this season - I love the sassiness of the SP on her!
And until we hear it from Gracie or her coach, no one has any idea if she’s not doing FULL RUN THROUGHS.
Certainly not a certain website.
Is there any other source for this theory? (Other than the skate itself. Nothing is “obvious” about practice from a skate itself)
The consensus on this forum was she looked labored and out of shape in her regional. If you think that is "doing just fine", I would disagree. I have no idea if she is doing full run throughs, or not, though a few suggested she may not be. My suggestion is IF she is not, then she should be doing full run throughs.
Isabeau Levito scored 116.14 (72+ TES) in her FS at the North Atlantic Regional, landing 3Lz+3T, 3Lz, 3F, 2A+3T<, 3Lo+1Eu+3S, 2Lz (maxed out triples), 2A.
If she keeps this form, she will definitely be in contention for the junior ladies title at Nationals, despite skating novice at Regionals/Sectionals (which has lower PCS factoring than junior).

Our junior ladies are VERY strong this year. I’m so excited to see how they’ll do internationally next season.
And with that in mind, it's critically important that the ladies sent to Jr Worlds are the ones that can hold it together competitively and place high enough to earn the USA a full complement of 14 JGP spots for next season.

1. Rika - 81.35
2. Young - 78.22
3. Sasha - 74.40
Judges were very generous with PCS compared to SkAm, but very un-generous by handing out StSq2's to all top contenders, except Rika and Evgenia.
Its very interesting that she chooses to do 3 +triple combos and then do a solo double. It gains her the difference in points between a double toeloop and a double lutz. I've never seen anyone do that before.
