The Russian figure skater Alyona Kostornaya, who won the Grand Prix stage in France, said that in the near future she will not add a quadruple jump, even if she were ready to perform it.
Kostornaya at the tournament in Grenoble scored 236.00 points in total for her skating routines. The skater performed two triple Axels in her free program.

“Even if the quadruples will be obtained, I don’t think that we will insert them into the program at the moment. Russian figure skater Alyona Kostornaya, who won the Grand Prix stage in France, ideally skated her free profam, Daniil Gleikhengauz, coach of Kostornaya and Alina Zagitova, said.

Kostornaya at the tournament in Grenoble scored 236.00 points in total over her two routines. Zagitova became second, scroing 216.06 points.

“It is difficult to be dissatisfied with our athletes when they occupy the first and second places. Today, I think, Alyona turned out to have the perfect performance, all the elements were great, and it was this clean skating run which brought her victory. Alina did not get her first cascade, because for this she had to add a Rittberger in the second half of the program. She showed character, it’s not so easy to go out and perform a complex cascade in the second half. They both fought today and skated very worthily"

Kostornaya in training struggled with her triple axel, and in the program she twice performed this element qualitatively. "As I recall, Alyona said that she has not made friends with this element so far. We will wait until she calls it her friend," Gleikhengauz added.

In other skater ... an "even if" doesn't mean anything ... in Kostornaia/ Eteri probably means ... I already have (almost) one in the pocket but isn't perfect (yet) so why risk my almost perfect program and GOE ... in Trusova or Scherbakova we saw them doing the jumps in the programs before they could landed them 100 % ... Kostornaia in two programs she progresses between 0 3A to 2 3A and now 3 3A ... Eteri won't risk her scores with consistency for a jump ... failling a 3A in the SP would be a catastrophe when the benefit is limit that means that Kostornaia is landing them almost 100 %... so I think for nationals Kostornaia will have a 4 if that what it takes to get to the worlds

What does she have more than the others, in the end?
What does she have to be invoked as the messiah, come to earth to save us all from the ugliness of modern figure skating?
In the end, all she has are difficult jumps and beautiful spins and power and poise.
Yes, I know that she take all the jumps at full speed, that they are so high, so long.
Yes, I understand that she is obviously an attractive ice skater, who has a winning smile and a seductive way of interpreting her music …
I can also understand why she is so successful in her joking flirtation with the crowd and the judges, whatever!
I don't want to join the bandwagon! I don’t ... want … yet. I … can't go to Torino for the GPF without her pin. Do you know where they sell her pin? :scratch3:
