2019-20 Russian Ladies' Figure Skating

Agree. I still think she will withdrawl, but this just seems like a basic public relations appearance, although she might plant the seeds of her withdrawl. (injury etc.)

That show is before Russian Nationals? I didn't realize. Goodness.

I think the show starts two days before RusNat, but there are substitutes for each show, so we don´t know yet when exactly is Alina, she might join Navka after RusNat... But I don´t think it will be the case

Phew, I really didn't want to believe that Liza could even do anything like that (and let's be real here, her editing skills are probably better). Evgenia has a very large fanbase, so the manager wanted to turn them against Liza and harm her reputation before basically the most important competition of the season.

One thing that does not make sense to me is the editing part. If the ex managers goal was to ruin Liza's reputation why did they edit the video a few minutes after it got backlash due to the Zhenya clips? Wouldn't they want to keep the controversial clips in if they wanted to tarnish her reputation as much as possible?
Hmm.. will probably never get solved completely. She also apologized to Evgenia and TAT, so I will just move on for now.

20 minutes until Alina's interview!!!

Some people from Russian far east claim that they already watched it and there was nothing sensational. No idea how credible is this.

Edit: Most likely somebody is spreading fake news for some reason

Tuktamysheva probably shared her YT password (and what other accounts) with that manager for business purposes and forgot to change it once they broke up.

Another hard lesson learned for any sportsperson with a manager, keep your passwords close.

Well, I am glad Liza didn’t go crazy for no apparent reason. I feel like the careful what you wish for applies to the figureskating + more news...

Meanwhile , in the Sankt Petersburg Championships

1. Gubanova 214.03 (good, one < on the toe)
2. Konstantinova 197.59 (messy, 4 <'s and a fall on the Lz)
3. Gulyakova 197.40 (solid, doubled the flip)
4. Sakhanovich 192.24 (missed one triple combination again)
5. Talalaykina 183.71 (much better but still a little shaky)

I was thinking the same. But I will also give Liza the benefit of the doubt.

It was a lesson learned either way. Be careful with passwords/people with whom you had a falling out with, especially if you're a famous person.

(And definitely don't say everything publicly that's on your mind about your rivals. Just think about poor Gubanova's scandal.)

I have feeling that this will go the way of Sotnikova, I will be very happy if I will be proven wrong but...

P.S Eteri, close your IG page :D

Alina will not compete at RusNats.

I can't say I'm surprised...I don't know what this means for her career though. Taking time off is tricky in Russia...But she probably wouldn't have made the team either way and she will get GPs whether she goes to RusNats or not if she wants to come back for next season, so it doesn't matter...

I just hope it was her decision entirely. Wishing her the best. :luv17:

So sad for Alina. :(

She always said she wanted a long career, but it's difficult to imagine her ever coming back to competition with the incredible depth in Russian ladies + already having won everything.

I hope alina is doing ok. I know this sounds really off, but is was “nice” of her to withdraw early enough so that the next girl in line could compete. Who is the next girl in line?

Liza is a smart girl, she will never do something stupid enough to harm another skater and ruin her reputation. Her ex manager is a disgusting person.
