She said that she won't participate in RusNats and therefore will not go to any other competition either and will only skate in shows. She will continue to train though. It's really sad that her season is over, she had such majestic programs, probably the best she ever had. I hope she is still competitive next season.

A Croatian channel filmed Golden Spin and a YouTube user “Frida340” uploaded many of them. I do not know if she uploaded Liza’s FS, but she uploaded the exhibition. There is a Fancam of Liza’s SP by YouTube user “K”.

Is she injured? Is she staying with Eteri? Well that opens the door for Liza or Evgenia to be the lady in waiting I guess.
I would like to see her at nationals but she’s doing shows at the same time. I hope she will still compete but it’s her choice.

Well, I guess only thing we have to hope is that her words about 'studying new jumps and entrances' are true and at very least, she will continue training... and next season we will see her back.This looked extremely like retirement speech but hope springs eternal.
Very unlikely she is staying with eteri.

yep, Sotnikova failed to make a competitive comeback
Zagitova has won it all, its hard to be competitive unless you aim for an overhaul like Med

So sad for Alina.
She always said she wanted a long career, but it's difficult to imagine her ever coming back to competition with the incredible depth in Russian ladies + already having won everything.
Hey. In case Alina would not qualify for EC and WC through RusNats by potentially ending 4th or 5th, the result would be the same, no EC or WC this season. But that is the scenario for another 15 skaters every year who still train and attend RusNats or Russian Cup stages in the next season. And nobody calls it "it's difficult to come back to competitions." So if Alina would want to compete next season the worst situation will be this. In reality it will be better, she has sure 2 spots at GP and she is Alina Zagitova.

Are you for real? But after your first takeaway was who has a bigger chance now to make the team I'm not surprised...
But she said she will try to "learn new elements", so I assume she's talking about quads?

So... Eteri said that Alina wanted to do this for some time now but everyone tried to encourage her to rethink, she claimed that she is tired and she couldn't make her rethink it,so she needs to take some break to get rest and get that competitive spark back... According to Eteri she wont stop training so whenever she wants to come back, she is ready and return is possible for her.
From her speech, it looks like (or I want it to look like) Eteri thinks (or hopes) that Alina will get bored and get back soon, as much as I really want to believe this... I am not Stanislavsky, but unfortunately «Не верю»

Probably. There is not much of other elements Alina would need to learn.
