Zhenya will skate on her broken boots tomorrow.

I‘m proud of her and I‘m relieved. She is a fighter. I’m worried about tomorrow but today she did all she could.

Than let's hope for another miracle tomorrow . Really I will be just happy if she stays 5th place and has a clean fs, and does not injure herself. If she gets a better place I will be even more happy but considering the circumstances I just want her to come out of those nationals injury free
 
She said her leg hurts. I'm sorry, she needs to withdraw now. She needs a new boot company and doesn't need to injure herself. So frustrated.

She will not withdraw. That's zhenya we are talking about. Mabye it would be better but this young woman is not one to give up. I think she will fight with everything she has tomorrow broken boot and all
 
She skates first in the final group. Is that the best possible position with her skates. Being last today was probably not ideal.
 
I collected some data from this season for the Top 5 and judging by the PCS alone Zhenya must have had a disastrous skate. :shrug:

Honestly? No. Today she desperately needed the time to adjust her boot, she went running with Brian to fix it. If she skates first, there won‘t be a possibility of that. I‘d say it‘s even worse than last.
 
I can't calm down. It makes me so sad that she is so unlucky. She's in the best shape ever and then her boot breaks right before the most important competetion of the year. I mean, how likely is this??? And I still don't get it that a top skater has to visit stores to find new boots instead of getting help from the RusFed.
Btw, last year she was 14th after the SP.
