Looking at all of the clips I am amazed that Zhenya learned and mastered all of the choreo in just a few hours during the night. Queen :love:

the FED might release her to armenia for instance but they won't release Zhenya to a country like Canada where a fine performance in the Olympic team event by Zhenya could reduce Russia's chances for team gold. And her heart of hearts I do not think Evgenia wants to change countries.

I would like to see the isu come up with a rule where you can send your three competitors to the Olympics in an individual event but you can also send separate competitors in the team event if you want to. Zhenya and Alina in the team event and 3A in the individual event! Problem solved. Sort of. ;)

ISU Event and/or International Competition for any ISU Member and who intends
to compete in the future for another ISU Member needs a permit from
the last ISU Member he previously represented, which permit shall not
unreasonably be denied.

If she wants then I think there are ways.

Change the system, how is it possible that Zhenya with a SB over 225(5th highest this season) can not go to the main competition. They (ISU) are only hurting themself

Zhenya needs to speak publicly about this because things need to change at least a little bit with the international skating union. to have the 5th best seasons best score and not be able to qualify for Europeans or worlds is a loss for figure skating and figure skating fans it does not benefit the sport. Maybe do something like a maximum of three entrance kart kountry and then go to season's best or something like that after that or World standing for an extra chance to get into these events when you've earned it. we've talked about this with other people there's no reason for Kazakhstan to have three spots and Russia to have three spots it's absolutely ridiculous. This does not benefit the growth of the sport.

I agree. I cannot imagine I would love to watch Grand Slams as much as I do if instead of Top 30 and additional players who earned their place we were watching Top 3 (2/1) from different countries.

But who's going to do it? ISU? They are the ones that have to face the reality that their sport could be more popular could draw more viewers because why would the millions of Medvedeva fans watch Europeans or worlds if Zhenya is not there when she deserves to be with a 5th best score of the season? The same goes for other skaters and their fans. Not all fans are like me and like multiple skaters and will watch no matter what.

Let's look at Europeans and what that has become in recent years. Unbelievably weak field other than Russia. How many spots does European have per discipline? 24? 32? Yat Russia will only send three ladies it's ridiculous. They could send 10 to 15 legitimately to Europeans. And all we're asking for is another one or two spots for Russia we are not asking for them to decimate other countries and not let small countries develop their figure skating programs. There has to be a better balance that the international skating Union can come up with. It's their loss Evgenia and Alina and Liza will not be at Europeans in addition to 3A. But it's Europeans loss and the ISUs loss and figure skating fans loss.

It is also unreasonable for Kazakhstan to have three ladies spots at worlds this year, when they may not have any skaters meet the TES requirement.
