I think some of the other skaters do donate theirs as well. But I don't know that for sure.

I was planning to stay up to watch Jason's skate tonight. But upon realizing that he will be skating at about 1:17 AM my time, I have abandoned that idea. It's disappointing, but it would probably knock me out for two days. I hope to be able to wake up at whatever time and find that he has a positive GOE on the 4T and is wearing a medal.

This pic is from U.S. Nationals. Hopefully he'll get a decent amount in Korea. Interesting that they are going to the RMH in Busan and not the closer one Seoul. That must be his family's travel destination for their post-comp mini-vacation.
I like these comments from Jason from the GS article on the Mens Short. He really does seem more comfortable now.
It's two hours earlier for me, Bookseller, but too nervous to watch live. As always.

Oh man I wish we could switch the time zone for today-tomorrow!!! 1:17 won't be a problem at all because I usually don't go to bed until around 2. On the other hand being up at 7 on a Sunday morning is a serious drama, well actually I must be awake just after 5 for Donovan :eekn:
I don't think I would get a blink of sleep during those few hours anyway, so a heavy duty siesta is in order tomorrow

The free skate starts at 2:30 am for me :noshake: so now the question is whether I set my alarm at 5:30 for the final group... on a Sunday. I tell myself that I can just go back to sleep after (because Sunday), but I know regardless of which way it goes I will be buzzing and I won't be able to sleep.... But then just waiting to the morning and not watching Jason live and potentially missing a big Nationals moment... argh dilemmas dilemmas
Regardless I so hope Jason can go clean!!!

It will be around quarter past five in the afternoon, so I will have plenty of time to get nervous and will be wide-awake to watch.
I just want him to stand up on the quad again. That's the key point. Stand up, preferably one-footed. If it's UR then it's UR but if he stands up he maintains the magic spell and off he goes into another beautiful skate.

I am so sorry to have to miss this live. I would love to see him land a clean quad skate beautifully. But I'll see it as soon as I wake up. It's 6 hours from now and I just can't! I will see him at World's and hope to see him be even better! That last group is going to be exciting! So happy for all of you who can watch it live!

I woke up at 12:50 AM with the full moon shining in my window. I was summoned. I came, I saw and was so happy! Go Jason! On to World's! Back to bed!

Sublime!! Beautiful! I don't even care about the pop because you know what he kept his head together, he skated last after so many guys had thrown down best skates and he skated confidently and near foot-perfect. If he's hitting 180 now, imagine what he'll hit if he gets that Quad at Worlds?

Jason really is magic. I barely noticed the pop- truthfully, I only really noticed it because I know how much he wants to land it. I want him to land it for him and I think he will. His 3A this year has shown marked improvement and renewed consistency. His triples look sharper and faster. I think his coaching change is paying off in the way he wanted.
For me his performance transcends jumps and spins and levels. I am just so happy for him.

Congratulations to Jason and all the medalists. It sounds like an amazing final group. I have not been able to watch his program yet because I am on a girls weekend and I want to save the splendor when I get home and can watch it on my big screen. I thank everyone for their posts that make me so look forward to seeing this spellbinding program.

The SP was great! And I have only seen the FS on youtube, but the emotional level of it was better than nationals! No wonder the judges gave it all the points! 
Jason third with everyone skating well in the SP! and no one saying, well he only can do well if others fail massively.
Having Tanith as one of the commentators with Johnny and Tara made it better. Tanith really works to get the skaters' names right. Tara plucks my last nerve.
I love the confidence Jason is showing. All the non-quad jumps seem so secure. The 3f is just remarkable. That shaky 3loop has not shown up. The lutz edge is right. The second 3A is fully rotated. Even when he popped the 4t, it looked like a choice rather than a mistake, to avoid zayaking on 3ts or a fall. The 4t is being hit in practice.
I so want him to hit it at Worlds, but who cares? Just now, I am so happy.
