Evgenia Medvedeva

Advice on what? How to stop people from inventing rumours on Twitter?
Zhenya has not broken any law nor did she do anything illegal.

Advice on how to behave sensibly, responsibly in your guest country, observing the cultural rules.

There was no malintent on Yevgeniya's part, just some acting before thinking or asking her guide\translator. Assuming of course she is guided by whoever that provided the invitation and visa.

A reminder that this is Evgenia's fan fest. A place for her fans to support her and show support.

And what did she allegedly do according to you that is not according to cultural rules?
Everything Zhenya did so far was allowed. She stayed in quarantine for over two weeks and then during her 4th week took a stroll in the park, which is btw not forbidden in Japan (nor in any other country that I know of, not even in Germany with over 140k infected) as mentioned by several Japanese citizens (who are actually Japanese and not Russians pretending to be Japanese) e.g. in the Sleptnik article someone linked here some Japanese people spoke out that everything Zhenya did so far was allowed, you can also google news articles on the current situation in Japan and what is allowed and what not in different parts of Japan and see that everything Zhenya did so far (which is by the way still only ONE stroll in the park) was allowed
and if you look in the background in Zhenya's video you can see groups! of people strolling in the park.
Here e.g. is a current German news article where they took photos and interviews in Japan where Japanese citizens said that they all go strolling in the park to breath some fresh air (also seen in the photo)

A slightly overused but still applicable term for this situation sums it up completely. It is “fake news”. Evgenia is a huge star in Russia with a fervent fan base. The media understanding the extent of her popularity takes advantage of it to create artificial controversy (fake news) simply in order to generate “clicks” which equates to revenue in the world of modern “journalism”. It’s nothing more than a money game at the expense of Evgenia’s temporary annoyance. This is a commonplace media tactic that is used against famous people from all walks of life. I just hope Evgenia doesn’t let it get to her.

Let's hope her Japanese guide does his/her duty and gives advice to prevent more damage to Yevgeniya's image in Japan.

why do you think her image in Japan is damaged ? Because of the few hater accounts that invent and spread false information. Do you really think they represent the whole FS community and fans there?

Obviously park walks are not forbidden and the normal people will just enjoy the adorable video she made.

Hello Evgenia Medvedeva Fans!

A reminder that the Fan Fest is " a place for fans to celebrate and praise their favorite skaters—not a place to pick apart their technique, skills, etc. ....do not bring up other skaters with the intent to bash, debate, critique, and/or compare. "

The Fan Fest is not the place to post negative points of view about Zhenya. The Fan Fest is not the place to negatively comment about other skaters or their fans. There are threads in the Edge where such posts, within guidelines, can be made. Posts in the Fan Fest that do not comply with Fan Fest guidelines will be subject to removal.

Please continue celebrating Zhenya in the Fan Fest, and thank you for posting on Goldenskate!

The reminder is inappropriate.
Besides it's allowed to bully Evgenia.
Ridiculous!

I agree with you. It's ridiculous. Because no other skaters were harassed here, not even any of them were named.

We are talking about the bullying against Zhenya :palmf:

agree, because it is not only about some tweets, if you take a look at the comments sections in some yahoo jp headlines about her dancing in the park it really doesn’t seem good (eventhough those are postive articles). I love her skating, hopefully her Japanese guide/pr team do his duties.

Hello LazyAnalytic.

Thank you for posting on Goldenskate; post long and post often!

Just a friendly reminder as I see you are new member, that this is Zhenya's Fan Fest, where the focus is on celebrating Zhenya and her team. (I consider myself a member of the FF by association;)) To talk about her Japanese guide/PR team "not doing their duty" sounds as though it is criticizing Zhenya, and criticism of Zhenya *or* her team is not a subject for the Fan Fest.

There are threads in "the Edge" where posts can be criticism, praise and all sorts of commentary within guidelines.

But this is absolutely the right thread to talk about how much you love her skating!

Let's talk about something nice. I just rewatched her Instagram posts on Nike. Between the two it has over 7.5 million views. :)

Are you guys looking forward to Zhenya's new SP or FS more? Tbh, I'm not a fan of either music choice, yet I have complete faith that the programs will end up being excellent. I'm so intrigued! I think I'm looking forward to the SP more. I'm happy Buttle did the choreo, but there is a small part of me that wishes there was a Ilya program this year, too. I'm probably alone in that thought

I am absolutely looking forward to the SP. I love the music, the choreographer is excellent - I expect it to be my most favorite ever!
