Yuzuru Hanyu: 2019-2021

His recent videos are just :luv17: clearly so much work went into it

Everyone misses him so much that he as much as post a video it is all over Japan TV news and newspapers all the time

I read somewhere that the duration was precisely 3'11"... a tiny, delicate touch not missed by the press. Do you know if it's true?

Many fans add up the duration and the total is 5 minutes and 11 seconds, i.e., 311 seconds. It is reported in newspaper too. Though I saw some fans said that their phone showed 310 seconds, maybe some rounding problem.

The number of "retweet" and "like" is amazing

This seems to be very accurate

He clearly put a lot of thought into it, and people appreciate it

It's such a thoughtful details (mind you, it also shows how closely every single second of public Yuzu is scrutinised :laugh2: that people worked this out so fast...)

Hello! I'd like to share with you all a Swanyu enamel pin I designed here. It is a product of my love for Yuzu and his skating, perhaps it may bring some cheer to fellow fans :luv17:!: https://gmancreates.myshopify.com/
If you or someone you know would be interested in adopting a Swanyu child, that would mean a lot to me! :) I want to find them good homes.

OMG, this is so cute  even though I have an eternal hate for that costume

Eternal hate? Why though x'D? I love that costume...showing his back and collar bone...^^°.

Yuzuru's costumes rarely bring indifference  and he definitely dresses for his audience. What are your favourites? I would have to go with Olympic Seimei, Notte Stellata, Origin 1 and Masquerade....

It was fun to watch Yuzuru's message! I am grateful he gave us an opportunity to see him in the off-season when there are no shows. I am getting more confident now that he won't retire before the Beijing Olympics. :)
Do I recall it wrong or did he say he would have two new programs in the upcoming season?

I am saying it since 2018 OG, he is going to Beijing and he is going to get gold. Mark my words :agree:

Hate it for the same reason you like it

Generally, I'm not in love of see-through costumes. Too much feather and glitter is also out of my list.
In my list of likes goes: Seimei, PW, POTO (the Faoi version), that black shirt with some white lines on the shoulder in one of shows, the first costume of the final time traveller (the white shirt), first arts on ice costume, last otonal costume
My list of dislikes: hope and legacy, Let's go crazy, first otonal costume
My list of hate: swan, the blue costume of the final time traveller, that peach yellow costume in one of the shows

Those are the few that just popped in my head  Sorry, I know most of you generally like his taste in costumes

Do I recall it wrong or did he say he would have two new programs in the upcoming season?

I'm pretty sure he at least heavily implied it. He did think of changing to new ones instead of going back to Seimei/Chopin, but there simply wasn't time, and it proved to be for the best since he got his 4cc/Career Gold Super Slam, and worlds was cancelled so a new set wasn't wasted.

He's like the little girl with the little curl, people are rarely indifferent to what he is wearing (and even when you don't like them, they sure make him the cynosure of all eyes :luv17:) I'd say you are in a minority where Swanyu is concerned...

He said he would have new programs, according to the interview after worlds cancellation:

"Please let us know your vision of next season’s program, image of music and such, to an extent that you find acceptable.

- I want to do new programs. I don’t know for sure how long it would take to incorporate 4A, but that’s also my goal to work hard for next season. I haven’t had any tangible image of the programs or music for now. However, I hope to do something that is meaningful to myself"

@Farnaz
It's okay :)! There also are many costumes that I don't really like. If another type of person with a more bulky build wore the swan...I wouldn't like it that much either (even if I liked the skater). I just love Yuzus build xD.

https://twitter.com/nanaironopadoru/status/1259075906477240320?s=20 Some new behind the scenes footage from Fantasy on ice Sendai 2019. Yuzu teaches the hydroblade to Ando Miki and Arakawa Shizuka

That was so much fun! it does show that doing them to the quality Yuzu does is not as simple as some people think... and it isn't just the hydroblade itself, the slowmo of the Olympic Seimei one shows the way he can make leaving it look so effortless and as much part of the choreography as anything else. And Miki's rather adorable efforts how how NOT effortless it is.

And should he choose that path, he will make quite the coach
