Good on her! I hope she is doing this because it is what she wants and she doesn’t feel pressured to come back! I’m excited for her statement about her choice to compete again, it will be nice to hear what her goals and aims are!

I didn’t mean it like that. I meant it like I hope she doesn’t feel the pressure from fans, not that somebody is pulling her strings like a puppet. More like the choice weighing on her heart to make fans happy. I hope I explained that well.

Great news, but I wonder if there will be time (if GP events don't get cancelled and rinks in Russia open later) or reason (if season begins with Nationals) to create two new programs.

We'll see, she can perhaps keep one of her programs, whatever she likes best? Both 'Me Voy' and 'Cleopatra' have had limited exposure after all, and can be improved.

For Alina, a reset of her status to 'active athlete' is probably dependent on the May 15 FFKKR conference concerning next season's teams and funding decisions. She can probably not stay in 'inactive' mode and keep all her benefits, while switching to 'active' later at some opportune moment. That would be unfair to the other athletes.

I say thank you to Olga Shevtsova and Larisa Melkova, who opened for me the wonderful world of figure skating, to Alexander Volkov and Anna Tsareva, and, of course, to Eteri Tutberidze, who neglecting the time and circumstances literally gave me all that best and worth that she's got. I'm sure, I'll still have a chance to give my glorious coach not one bouquet of her favorite flowers. I'm also grateful to Daniil Gleikhengauz for my characters and directed programs. ⠀ With all of my heart I want to thank Sergey Dudakov for his work with me, for his kindness and decency. I mean he probably did work with her a lot on her quads, but during interviews and such he was never mentioned. But again, I am just guessing. Honestly, I wouldn’t read too much into it. Us fans don’t know the behind the scenes details of Sambo 70, so there is no reason to debate and argue over this imo.

I agree. I just hope people won't make any claim/statement anymore. I hope the rinks will open soon and people can start work.

The only thing I can make from this is that Aleksandra's parents perhaps disliked Gleikhengauz working attitude with and perceived lack of attention towards their daughter, riding on the gossip that Anna is his primary subject of staging 'the best' images?

And obviously they appreciate 'hard power' in the creation and learning of jumps more than 'soft artistry' in the creation of images, because they specially thanked Dudakov and Rozanov for this, which sort of fits with Aleksandra's character and her saying not paying particular attention to wanting to learn skills and such.

All adult trainers, including Zheleznyakov, know more about what really happened inside The Crystal Dome. I think Zheleznyakov directed his emotional anger at Mr Trusov, and later realised he compromised Aleksandra and sort of made up for this outburst in a subsequent posting. Zheleznyakov then deleted all his posting making a lame excuse, I've read elsewhere, but I didn't follow that thread very closely. Still, many consider his behaviour inappropriate, and they have a point.

#TeamTutberidzeForProgress will probably make its own official statement, but one might guess they'll wait for Plyushchenko's turn first, in order to counter any ?? coming their way?

All things considered, including a cheeky remark about the infamous flower ceremony, it is a sufficient message to me, and probably all we’re gonna get from the Trusovs speaking directly to us, Aleksandra's fans.
