1. Eteri denied it publicly many times (ask Vaits"No support" ? For Eteri and Sambo? How then Adelina was excluded from Sochi Team event?
)2. I'm talking no support for Eteri in her time in smaller rinks, even before "Khrustalnyi".

)Give jealousy or anger any reason? Mostly not, yet they are here with us for the whole history of the organized society. Not always people behave according to "win-win" strategy, you shouldn't be surprised how many people actually rather prefer "lose-lose" if they can prevent someone they don't like to win. That shouldn't be surprising for people with some life experience. I can't say this is surely happening, but definitely that's not rare.
Something I have been thinking about.
Maybe Plushenko can lure these kids to his "nest" and assure them there will be more money and shows with him.
But...
Isn't it a bit boring to do all these shows day in day out? You don't have the adrenalin of the competition, and isn't that what many of these athletes are after?
I am thinking especially about Trusova. She is a firehouse, a figher, a competitor. She looooves to jump, I don't think she is interested in doing beautiful spirals in shows? Maybe Plushenko can fix some special "jump" shows for her, but will she be content with that?
Wasn't it exactly this reason that made Zagitova re-think after she took her "time-out"? She found the shows were a bit boring and she missed to compete...
Maybe it's just me. I follow figure skating because of the sport and the competition element. I love the combination of technique and artistry which makes this sport unique. But I never watch exhibitions (I find them totally uninteresting) and I would never ever watch a show.
I guess I am just thinking out loud here...but what do you guys think?

Hello, patee, welcome to our threrapeutic group![]()

Vaits or not, the fact remains
I read your post like covering the whole period up to 2014.
I can agree that up to 2008 and Sambo she did not receive support.

It has nothing to do with fed “supporting” Eteri or anyone, they simply had no choice, they just had to go for most reliable and consistent option for team event, because it was Sochi, those were OG in Russia and a pretty huge deal for the country image wise.
Adelina was a risk for that gold medal due to her inconsistency, it’s as simple as that.
They snubbed Kovtun all together despite him being a national champion, pretty much for the same reason.
No choice?
Adelina was actually included, sent to Sochi and several days before the event she was told that she will not participate.

And don't forget it is the parents who are making that decision, they are the ones who are 'investing' the money in all those skaters after all. I would say it is less about the relationship with the coach (unless we are talking about extremes) and more about the parents and funds and aspirations they have.Jealousy is the root of a lot of evil in the world. They all want what somebody else has. But when you don't have to work for it and it's just given to you handed to you on a silver platter some people go
hmmm.

?
Adelina was not excluded from the Team to do Eteri a favor by draining Yulia out before the actual competition by having her skate twice in that Team show off. It in fact very much hurt Yulia.
Adelina was excluded cause she had had a disaster season up until nationals and was an extremely unreliable hit or miss skater while Yulia had been consistent. And they obviously wanted that Team gold in their home Olympics with Putin watching live in the arena.
What an uninformed statement.
Anything to take any possible dig at Tutberidze, succes really does draw the flies to the table..
