I haven't been keeping up with this thread, so apologies if this has been discussed already. I was looking at the list of preliminary participants for the Moscow Jr Championships shared in the Russian Men's thread, which is organized by sports school/club, and I noticed that Adelia Petrosyan is listed with the "Sports School of the Olympic Reserve "Moskvich". Does anyone know what that's about?

I believe Adelia was with Mosokvich school before moving to Eteri at the start of last season but afaik she is still with Eteri because Daniil commented on her missing jr test skates due to a leg injury last week

Sportvokrug is bad at updating skaters' info.

Oh no, I'm totally not blaming Kamila, it's a great honour and chance for her, no one would decline such an invitation. It's just RusFed who keep making me shake my head. :noshake:

I think Zagi will focus on studies (and the sweet $$$!). Good for her. She has everything this sport offers her.

ETA: Or ₽₽₽ rather!

I hope she wins the Olympics!
And I have to say that Russians went crazy after her new picture with Rozanov was posted today. I read more than a thousand comments about their picture written in Russian. That she went to Plushenko Academy because of her personal life. :D

No need to apologize. No one expects you to go back and read 25 or 30 pages. Besides what you're asking maybe something another remember here maybe thinking about.

Honestly If I was Eteri I would probably want to retire after the last blow with Alyona and Sasha (and Yulia, Evgenia and Veronika). Who knows, maybe she will do that after the Olympics.

Being called a honored martyr of sports is a thousand times better than being called a martyr of publicity like a certain semi-coach who only lives off his facebook and instagram editions...

I guess we need a poll. Who is the worst scoundrel and charlatan in Russian sports, Eteri Tutberidze or Evgeny Plushenko. So far the vote is tied, one million votes for each.

My write-in candidate is Alexei Yagudin...

This was my exact thought. Actually, there are so many choices within Russia that we might need two rounds of elections. One to narrow down the competition, and the other to choose the winner of this prestigious title.

You realize she recently started a program for skaters 4 yo and up and has been hiring multiple children's coaches? She has much longer term plans than Alëna and Trusova.

OMG! Plushenko has no facebook page..oh, pardon he has, but he didn't write there personally never. Only the admin. The admin was a fan and because she passed away 4 years ago no one can write on it. That was in connect with the Twitter account thus the page was updated to 2018. But there is no connection between those pages now. Plushenko posts only on IG, but I'm not sure he does it personally all the time....;) Post next to it with long text...those aren't his post, you can be sure. If you would know him....;)

Post on IG cca one minute... awful addicted man!:slink: bad coach!

I’m so bored without skating, so I’m trying to guess what the Russian ladies’ music selections will be. Shcherbakova: Red Violin. Sinitsina: based on last year’s programs, probably something unique and not overused. Guliakova: Mishin will probably select something uninspired for her style; I’m thinking a warhorse, maybe Phantom or Experience. Alyona: Carmen. We can say goodbye to ever seeing No One Ever Called Me That. Samodurova: Phantom, or, (perhaps to do a different theme in the free skate than the last 3 years of sassy and bold programs) Piano Concerto No.2.

Maiia already has a Red Violin program this season, so I doubt Anna would get the same :)

No guesses here, but I would love for Anna to get a big dramatic classical warhorse for her free, along the lines of Rachmaninoff. Or maybe Nutcracker or Swan Lake. IF not that, then something with a dark theme or even a tango.

For her short, I'd love her to have something upbeat or jazzy.

No more light lyrical pieces, though. She does them well but they need to show her versatility to maximize her PE/INT as she can't compete with Alena's SS and she needs to increase her PCS to have a better shot at winning.

She did Carmen in the 2016/17 season? Oh. Well, it makes sense that she may not want to do it again, but Plushenko may insist, saying that she did it so long ago but can do it justice now. I still think she’ll get a warhorse. And Anna too, even if it isn’t what I predicted (red violin).
