Zhenya has been trying to draw with watercolours the past two days and know we know why:
Fans gifted Zhenya a bag full of arts supplies and roses a few days ago after they read in Zhenya's new interview that she would love to draw with water colours one day. How sweet.

Here a translation of the fan post:

"We are glad to inform you that we all managed to please Zhenya before the Test Skates

So how was it?
Zhenya said that she would like to try to draw on paper, and we all thought how to please her ? And now, eureka!
We came up with a gift, and then Zhenya herself in a video for OCD, as if assuring us that the gift was cool, replied, they say, with pleasure I will try to paint with watercolors and not only. We bought all sorts of art pieces, namely: brushes of different sizes and from different materials, pencil cases for them, paper for watercolors and gouache, watercolors, gouache, palette and a glass for water, beautifully packed and signed the gift: Your EMH
Yes, we would like to come up with a more massive general meeting, but now Zhenya is just incredibly busy, she has every minute scheduled, which is a confirmation that Zhenya immediately went out on the ice after our meeting, and came to us already in skates like this. The meeting took place in just10 minutes. We said kind words from us all and gave her a gift, a basket of roses, and also, Luna, one of those favors that we bought for Capa
Zhenya herself is doing well, she sends many thanks everyone. Trains, prepares for the Test Skates. And in the evening we could all observe in the stories of her Art Instagram that the gift is already in action.

I have to confess, I was waiting too. And Zhenya‘s black hair looks gorgeous - I think I like it better than the red one. Red was more adventurous but black makes her look so classy. :luv17:

Also, I find it interesting that she basically confirmed that she won‘t try to go back to Canada but stay in Russia instead. Can‘t wait for the competitions and the start of Zhenya‘s 6th international senior season. Let‘s hope everything goes well, despite the strange circumstances.

I also love the black hair. She looks like Snow White with it. So pretty and elegant. Also love how Zhenya dyes her hair in the same colors and in the same order as I did as a teen

I am also glad that she seems to want to stay in Russia for the current time. Double quarantine would have just been a nightmare for her training progress. Since Zhenya's RC assignments are so early in the season and she already has her elements restored, she really has some time to try new elements or to work on more choreo between her RC assignments and Nationals if she is assigned to Rostelecom Cup she may have that in between but otherwise she has a good two months to prepare for Nationals without having to attend competitions every two weeks like during the usual GP season This may be really good for her I think Zhenya is in good hands in Russia and as she said she is in constant contact with Brian, so I am not worried that she may have to stay in Russia for the next few months

I cannot wait to see Zhenya skate to her Masquerade program in two weeks. I have been excited for months. Also I just want to finally see the costumes! Is it a dress or a suit for the masquerade?! I want to know! Haha.

Zhenya does not usually wear her costumes at test skates, so we will have to wait a little longer to see them. I'm glad she is in Russia, she seems really happy. And she may get an European challenger or senior B. I can't wait to see her programs

I know, however, the first Russian Cup will be in the same week as Test Skates, that is why I said I am excited to see her costumes in two weeks

That’s cool! I want a coffee cup too. And I would love if she added some more design options - the ones she has now are fine, I‘d just like more options and maybe something that‘s a bit more... mature? Idk. Maybe she could print out her own artwork from her instagram channel? That would be amazing. :luv17:

This makes me both excited and nervous! On the one hand, we‘ll get to see her skate twice in such a short amount of time. On the other hand, if she isn‘t 100% ready by test skates, it will be difficult to make adjustments before the first competition. And she’ll need to be completely ready because she’ll immediately face Anna. But she managed ACI just fine last season after mediocre test skates, so I‘m trying to be positive. And yes, I can‘t wait to see her programs+costumes either. What do y‘all think, which designer did she get them from this season?

I‘m feeling so unproductive next to her She‘s a World Champ figure skater, draws and paints, animates, knits, creates her own merch, choreographs her own gala programs, designs competitive dresses, knows how to speak two languages, currently studying a third (Russian, English, Japanese) and now learns how to play an instrument too? I mean...

Yay. I am happy for you. I wear the t-shirt I got quite often. It is so comfortable. I am thinking about getting one of the the hoodies for fall, since I like the material of the t-shirts so much

I think she got at least one done by Milena, who did her Exogenesis costume. Zhenya and Milena seem to be on good terms, Milena often commentates under Zhenya's insta posts With Zhenya in Russia it would also be convenient since they could do fittings etc. I am also hoping she got another one done by Satomi Ito

I liked Milena‘s costumes last season (the one she made for Valieva was very pretty, too) so I‘d be happy with that. And you‘re right, with her in Russia, it‘s definitely more feasible than, say, a costume from Satomi Ito. But then again, she was in Japan for a while, so maybe...? To be honest, I‘d also love if she collaborated with Olga again, I liked every costume she made for Zhenya and she‘s in Russia too. :think:

My birthday‘s soon and I think I‘ll get myself either the Memoirs of a Geisha hoodie or the phone case... or both. But shipping is so expensive, which is why I haven‘t bought anything so far.

My guess is Milena for the short program and Satomi Ito for the long. But I miss Olga.

For some reason, I don‘t think she‘ll get a costume by Satomi this season. It‘s just a feeling, though. But I‘ll go with both costumes by Milena. I have no idea why.

I saw that there is an option to write a message to Zhenya/her team on the shop‘s site. They say to contact them if there are questions. Now, I‘m not sure how soon Zhenya will read any of those, considering that she‘s currently busy preparing for the new season but it might be worth a shot - maybe she‘ll feel encouraged to make more merch with her own art if many people suggest it.
