I disagreed with the ladies scores and with the order. I would love to see in which world would Usacheva beat Trusova. Next season maybe, but Usacheva is still junior and her skating shows it. I like how she is expressive, but those marks, seriously? Who were the judges thinking they were watching, Yuna Kim?
Re: Pavliuschenko/Khodykin, I love how acrobatic they are, but there is something missing for me. They definitely are not juniors any more, but it is as if they struggle to get the polish. There is something unfinished. It is not the elements, they have pretty decent technical difficulty, but everything that happens in between elements. Last season I thought exactly the same about Mishina/Galliamov and it seems that it was fixed by Moskvina within a few months, so maybe that’s the answer - find another coach, if possible one that is very experienced with adding finishing touch. If Moskvina didn’t have already two senior pairs, I would suggest they go to Moskvina, but it may not be very pleasant to train every day with so many direct competitors. On the other hand, Volosozhar/Trankov, Stolbova/Klimov, Tarasova/Morozov managed all three under Mozer.
