2026 South Korean Figure Skating Championships

Wow!! Yuseong!! 👏
Will she win the free skate?
I think she just booked her ticket to JWC!!

And Jia answered bravely

I think Yuseong will win the free skate, but Jia still wins overall with her SP lead~

To reiterate, Team Korea women's teams:
- Olympics: Shin Jia, Lee Haein
- WC: Shin Jia, Lee Haein
- JWC: Kim Yuseong, Huh Jiyu
will update NT after a bathroom break, then I will resume my tears

Edit: NT: Shin Jia, Kim Yujae, Kim Yuseong, Lee Haein, Youn Seojin, Kim Chaeyeon, Huh Jiyu, Ko Nayeon, You Young

I kind of feel bad for Yujae
I think for Juniors, they should average the two scores.
I’m pretty sure she came in 2nd overall
But, Jiyu is a precious talent.
With the top Juniors moving to Seniors next season, Jiyu leads the way for Korea heading to JGP circuit

Sorry to be MIA but wife and three dogs joined me on the coach and everyone has their own specific place. No one can move. Lots of emotions here....too many good skaters to cheer for . It would have been fun to see the Kim twins flanking Jia on the podium.....had to go back and watch Hae-in jumping off the couch and Yel-im in the commentary section. Feel really bad for C. Kim.
To all my fav Korean skaters, thanks for the memories till now and more to come!

Oh right, senior women's podium before protocols: Jia-Yuseong-Jiyu

Protocols will likely be late, there is the evening traffic rush and I am physically and emotionally exhausted

I have a question why does South Korea have only 2 spots for JWC shouldn't they have 3 Jia was on podium last JWC she had a silver ???? (i am sorry i am rather new to the sport i thought a podium means automatic 3 spots for next year am i wrong ??)

No, to have three spots two competitors need to have total placement not lower than 12. So, if Jia was 2nd, another competitor needed to place not lower than 10 and it wasn't the case.

I read somewhere earlier that Yujae qualified for Junior Worlds over Huh Jiyu due to the combined ranking score being added to the Nationals scores, Is that wrong?

i see thank you😊 so according to this only japan has 3 spots this year

Not gonna even write summary.
Just entered mourning mode right after Chaeyeon skate...
Words are pointless at this moment.

By the way how are we having only 2 spots for 3rd power in women skating? It's really disaster.

Mourning for at least a month.
😭😭😭😭😭😭

Yes, Yujae is not going to JWC as Jiyu scored higher at Nationals (which decide WC/JWC entries). The combined ranking score determines who gets in the National Team, and while Yujae sits higher on the ranking list than Jiyu both are in the top 9 of the women so they are all NT members next season.
