Nationals determine WC and JWC entries and are half the criteria for Olympic and National Team selections.
Olympic entries are decided by combining the results of the Ranking Competition and Nationals. South Korea has quotas for 2 women, 2 men, and 1 ice dance team.
NT members are decided by combining the results of the Ranking Competition and Nationals. The main team consists of 9 women, 5 men and 2 ice dance teams, the reserve team 9 women and 3 men.
As always the distinction between seniors and juniors is domestic, i.e. not taking age into account.

All skaters advance to the FS.

KBS2 is to partially broadcast both the Senior SP and FS, judging by the program schedule it will probably be G2 of men delayed+G5 of women, and during that time KSU's Youtube channel Figure Korea will most likely stop streaming.
On how to watch KBS2:
Most surefire method: go to this link ( https://onair.kbs.co.kr/index.html?sname=onair&stype=live&ch_code=12&ch_type=globalList ) with a Korean VPN on, if the channel name under the stream isn't KBS2 in bright yellow click said name and the other channel options will pop up and then you can click KBS2.
Less assured but no VPN required: this site ( https://www.nettv.live/en/channel.php?aid=1294 ) seems to not redirect to the KBS homepage when you click the stream, maybe there are other sites out there but I wasn't able to find one with a 5-minute google.
Update: KBS is also streaming on their Youtube channel, I don't think it's geoblocked.

It was announced 10 minutes before the tickets went on sale that the tickets were actually being sold, whopping 45000 won (about $30) for both senior event days but free seating, and no judges' side seats available on the 1st floor! I am so effing pissed that I actually had to take a Xanax for me to calm down enough to write this post, and the worst thing is that I actually paid for that $30 ticket and will have to camp outside in freezing Korean January air at 4 am to be able to sit on a seat of my choosing. This is just....

Anyways, in case there are folks who have plans to visit Korea for Nationals, here is the link for the tickets: https://world.nol.com/en/ticket/genre/SPORTS/products/25018168?placeCode=25001692

Well, Ichat, I guess the beatings will continue until morale improves. :palmf: Winters can be very cold in Korea...so can the KSU. :console: Please send excess Xanax so I can get through the rest of this season and my life....

BTW, if you love watching the Korean Novices, there is some real talent there....they were put up two days ago.
Always handy to keep in mind that "Figure Korea" and "Korean Skating Union Figure" are good youtube channels to watch.
Here are some of the ladies

KBS2 is to partially broadcast both the Senior SP and FS, judging by the program schedule it will probably be G2 of men delayed+G5 of women, and during that time KSU's Youtube channel Figure Korea will most likely stop streaming.
The following guidelines on how to watch KBS2 will also be on the OP.

Ichat, do you think Figure Korea will "restart" streaming of an event or day after the broadcast? I might actually be able to watch some things live, gotta see those BBQ commercials! Fun filled fact. US GIs introduced fried chicken to the Koreans. They took the idea and ran with it and made spicy or sweet fried chicken. Now restaurants in the US that carry Korean fried chicken are increasing 20 percent a year (WSJ).

KBS2 is airing the final group for both senior days so there won't be any competition left for Figure Korea to stream. And I'm sorry to disappoint but BBQ is no longer a sponsor, so no more fried chicken ads during Nats

I appreciate what you do for us. My medical tests are looking better after an operation so I can kick back for at least 6 months now and enjoy things like Korean Nats!

Its so very different than US Nats. Being a USFS member, I got a day or two jump on ticket sales. The first three rows were always $1100-$1400 for the week and you could pick your seat. Practices were open seating but I never fought anyone if they wanted "their" seat for practice. You used to be able to see Novice, Jr and Sr and in some cases like Omaha, there was a secondary rink in the same building.

Helpful hint for old people. Once you get to the KBS page.SCROLL down till you see the channel number over on the left. Look for a BLACK "1" inside a BLUE BOX. NOT two blue vertical roman numberals. NOW click on that and get the yellow KBS 2 logo. You will also see daily schedules.

Now, all you have to do is click on program schedule, click on the day you want, like 1.03 or 1.04...now scroll down under KBS 2 and see when your program starts....like " Your bosses ears are donkey ears"

Update: KBS is also streaming on their Youtube channel, I don't think it's geoblocked.

It appears I can get in, I am not sure that I will be able to watch but at least it appears you are right, it isn't geoblocked.

It appears to work for me although its unclear how many skaters will be seen. It says live at 15:05 local, 10:05 pm PST. For ladies.
Ichat's schedule says G3-G4 is from 14:20 to 15:36.

Here is a quote from SYWtwfs:
HOW TO WATCH:

KSU:
The Korean Skating Union will livestream the junior competition and earlier groups of seniors on Youtube (Figure Korea or Korea Skating Union Figure channels). The streams will not show groups that are broadcasted on KBS. The streams are not geoblocked.

KBS: The KBS Sports Youtube channel will livestream the senior men and later groups of senior women. The streams are not geoblocked. Schedule in KST:

On demand: KSU and KBS Youtube streams will be archived. The Korean Skating Union will upload videos to their Naver blog after the competition. Fans may upload videos to Youtube or social media.
End quote.
If they are correct, we can watch the early group of men and women. On Figure Korea or Korea skating union.
