Of course high quality skate by Aliona, but I can't say I'm impressed by the program. Today even Sasha with the preparations for quads gave more to presentation.

Alyona's program is really nice and she has the potential to improve from this.

Very good This time i spotted some stumbles in steps and turns.

I don't like anything about it really lol. She's lovely but relying on the balletic quality is not taking her places anymore.

What a fantastic competition this was! I am totally exhausted. Feels like I have been doing a lot of quadding myself...

Remember this is the very first time she’s skating it in a competition setting. A lot of other skaters either did test skates or earlier Russian stages. I think Shae-Lynn did a good job.

Something rather odd about her skating here.

I find it funny that Gubanova's junior program showed better interpretation of Korzeniowski's Romeo and Juliet than that.

To be fair, Gubanov's R&J is one of the best out there. And this is Kostornaia's first time performing the FS.

Aliona is usually special but i'm afraid there's nothing special about this program, maybe is the cheap nightgown dress that puts me off. i like the short though

Yeah I agree, something was missing but I can´t quite explain it. Last year it was something so touching with her program but this lacks it. Hope it will get better though, it wasn´t bad

I'm pretty sure she's still learning the FS since the step sequence felt lacking. I doubt Shae-Lynn would choreograph something that is purposefully only able to get to a level 2.

That competition was great! So many good programs and quality skating (and jumps). It was super exciting
