Now this would make me spit out my coffee if I had it. No one can say Daniil isn't a comedian, that's for sure. All hail nutritionist Eteri. God.
well, he kind of chuckled/smiled when he said that, so it was essentially not to be taken too seriously. I think she gives general advice to look for some essential things, but mostly this is on parents.
I think the answer is that they don't have a nutritionist, and I would be really surprised if any russian teams within their state system did. Even team doctors and trauma&orthopedics (which are even more essential) are in limited supply, hence skaters go look for doctors all over Russia and abroad, so I wouldn't have high hopes that every single state school has it's own dietitians. State schools supply a lot of free things already, I don't know if it was ever in their capacity to have more than that.

Great interview from Nastya!

Little did Daniil know how his words would be received at GS

Sof'ya Titova convincingly won in her category the Medal for Mom competition with 174.35. Skating to Lara Fabian's Je suis malade no less.
Protocol: Протокол.pdf

Plyushchenko himself was at the boards, alone this time, no PR crew like yesterday.

Sof'ya Titova's short program from yesterday

Sof'ya Titova's free program from today

Single sleeved costumes are coming in vogue somewhere?

#TeamTutberidzeForProgress' young skaters:

Veronika An

Danya Bekyasheva

You don't think this:

was a particularly nasty way to refer to Liza's quad? They basically said it was a triple! A "mistake" any skater would realise if that's the case, ergo this poster is categorically saying Liza is a liar or an idiot otherwise why would she say it's a quad if it's so very clearly not.
Well, it's not quite downgrade, landing:

But it's also not even close to being rotated either. It's pretty similar to Berestovskaya's quads, that are similarly small.

But what's your argument? That I should falsely claim it to be a rotated quad just so that I would make Tuktamysheva look better? Yeah no, that's not my thing, sorry. I don't know why she would post a video of such a quad attempt, you'll need to ask her.

I'd like to remind you the initial context is someone was wondering why her quad's so small, I explained it's small since it's not rotated.

Best to start with not saying mistruth as that is just as false. Underrotated yes, and it's possible she landed where you said in your photo then turned on the toe-pick but I wouldn't be so confident. It could be, but it's really impossible to say between the two positions:

Definitely no downgrade.

I don't understand why we can't just be happy when we see a 23 years old female skater can land in quad , even if that is not from text book? This is amazing! Who can do that in this age???
Exactly! Liza is hardworking and brave... Bravo!
I am also very happy for Sofia Titova's beautiful programs ... She is so cute ... Plushy came especially with his girls .. Bravo

Starting order for the ladies short program tomorrow

Yay! The starting order. Poor Nugumanova has to go out first.

As the order is based on World Standings, it's clear how much it means to be able to skate in international competitions. Ryabova in last group, but Safonova, Guliakova and Nugumanova in the first group are all better IMO, but with less competitions internationally behind them.

Got no problem with someone being happy a skater is attempting quads, but Tuktamysheva is getting the same treatment other skaters get that are attempting quads and that is someone slowing down the video to .1 speed and frame by frame making their case that a particular skater is in fact not really doing a quad.

She's quite polite, isn't she... unlike a certain person talking about her excessive emotionality and unwillingness to work on herself. I just hope Aliona one day won't end up being spoken about like that...
She was such even two years ago, her words at that time about the departure were mature,, polite and grateful. That's why I value her very much no matter who's her coach.

For the most part the skaters have always been the mature ones and the adults tied to the situation been the immature ones when its come to departures/disagreements.

I'm thrilled Guliakova got a GP spot. I remember being so impressed with her in JGP Australia, it was bad luck that she happened to share a JGP with Trusova. Just placing second there had her losing her second spot, which of course stopped her from trying to qualify for JGPF.

I hope someone will be able to post clips from this event. I'm so excited to see all the talent from these wonderful skaters. Best of luck and skill to all.
