Number of views has literally nothing to do with how popular someone is... :palmf:
I personally have no doubt Kamila is the most popular junior, and Alina's popularity remains out of reach for any other girl.
May seem a paradox, but performing in skating related show helpedher image immensely.
May be wrong of course, but I think @JazzUp is right here

Why do people keep spreading the rumour that Sasha was injured?
Has she or anyone in her team actually confirmed that or is it just the same rumour spread by the unofficial fan club on IG?

Sasha, after her FP, said she doesn't know what happened and at the gala she was doing 3Lz out of a cantilever and things like that, which isn't something a skater coming off an injury would do.
She's not injured. I hope not anyway.

How many times I've read here about inflating scores of particular skaters (because of corruption, favouritism or whatever)? How many times it was said the way that was clearly disrespectful to those skaters? Plenty of times. And did that meet with a statement "it's a problem"? Nope. If that wasn't a problem then, it shouldn't be a problem now.

Selectivity is a problem.
I always hate that, but I'm not always reading it or wanting to reply.
with a cold mind I could overlook as it was just an opinion expressed in good faith in a place that exists just to do that.
So.. apologies for my tone @JazzUp

It's just an article describing the competition as it's the Russian Grand Prix. Nothing was said that Aliona and Sasha don't already know either. The only reason it is getting so much attention is because of the annoying clickbait of the original poster.
So actually is it just an article or an official statement by RusFed cause I am just getting confused? Would you please explain?

I mean in my opinion, yes it's delivered by the RusFed press secretary, but who else would be in charge of writing an article on the GP event which is the Russian GP. If you just look at the article with photos of the skaters, quotations of comments by the skaters and the way it lists scores of the top 7 skaters it is no where close to a serious press release announced by RusFed saying Aliona and Sasha need to fix up.

with this fake season that worlds and euro will probably get canceled and half of the team is either injured or have covid they shouldn’t be surprised what really matters is next season not this fake one.
I don't think Euros and Worlds are going to be cancelled... at most they're probably going to be without an audience or something like that, but cancelling both or cancelling Worlds for a second time is unlikely when there are already some vaccines out there.
And on what basis can we assume that all the current problems of the top skaters will be magically solved by next season?

So just much ado about nothing... Thank you so much for this information, hopefully sobering up the heated discussion of an "ultimatum" vs "non-ultimatum" ... ;)
As they say, even a list of ingredients on a cornflakes box sounds like a poem to a poetically inclined mind ...

Historical still counts though. Years worth of work and effort don't just disappear.
I didn't say they don't count. Just that that's specifically a "Historical Personal Best" instead of "Personal Best". So the ISU will always measure a new PB with the one achieved under +5, not +3.

Yes it does mean she achieved that score. The ISU distinguishes them, while keeping a record of both.

As I wrote earlier, the "ultimatum" part is my personal take on what Yermolina said - "change the coaching approach or else"..

It's one think to preface an article with an opinion, but a whole different ballgame when you purposely misconstrue and fabricate.

It looks like an article that GS might publish. The poster put their opinion on it in their post. That's all. It's not an official, grim ultimatum if you don't believe it is.

That's exactly what it is. I publish what I see and what I hear in a press conference or what skaters, coaches, etc. actually say. I don't put a biased or tabloid preface to it. That's unprofessional.

However, the poster made it appear that somone in the Russian Fed said that "a newbie coach" was given an "ultimatum", when in fact, that was not the case.

Yes it was indeed.

First liking my comment and then unliking it.

I liked your comment when I saw it just said "historical still counts though". When I saw the other part, I didn't agree with it, so I removed it and added another reply to you.

Is there anything else you'd like to  at? :)

EDIT: BTW, for someone who was so offended over me "policing" your comments at some point, maybe you can have a tiny bit of charity of thought. I am usually on my phone, and sometimes like the wrong post and then go back to cancel. Just FYI, in case it ever happens to you. Though, I can assure you, it won't anymore. :)
