I think the point gap is more because Kamila has two 4T’s and 4T is worth less than both 4F and 4Lz. Also Anna has a -3Lo combo giving her a base TES advantage of ~7 points.I think while the Russian fed. Do love Kamila it's possible they love Anna more? A clean Kamila was dead even with Anna in the PCS and lost overall in the free by 9 points. If she was the undoubted chosen golden girl like everyone was banging on about all season long that would not have happened. And frankly (for obvious reasons) Anna wasn't even her best although artistically she brought herself to a whole new level.
Well Kamila is still a junior - she's only 14 years old. Only Anna has ever done better at her first senior nationals at 14, placewise, and Kamila's skates here would have beaten hers. (She beats Alena and Sasha's debuts already.) This is also not the important year nor the year Kamila was expected to win. Kamila did mess up the 3A in the SP and can add it to the FS once it's stable. She (Eteri) is in a bit of a Alina/Evgenia situation though. (Imagine how crazy it would be if Alena and Sasha were still there.) She does also have Daria and Maiia to think of too (and Evgenia and Alina although I'm not sure they'll come back.) It's also crazy that people are someone disappointed that a 14 year old DIDN'T win Russian senior nationals, especially considering the fields. I mean the girl was perfection today and landed two quads.Almost 100 points more than stanislava and over a hundred points more than some other Russian ladies. And Annas heart is as big as the score she got today!
You mentioned Sasha what must she be thinking and what must KV be thinking? Can EG keep KV happy?
Some serious insinuations here.Remember though, internationally they will score GOE differentially. Well done Anna, she deserved to win but we can't ignore the edge on the lutzes, and also that the first quad Lutz should be Q at least.
And the fact Kamilla won't get a higher value GOE for her quad toe than Sasha's quad Lutz.
Anyways I think we've all had the question answered that has popped up time and time again:
Trusova needs to do 4 quads to win. There is no other way. This is a requirement for her.
I hope they drug test all the girls competing (and Danny G who was also acting strange) as I'm not sure if it were a trick of the light, by everybody in the final 4 skaters seemed to have huge pupils.

Anna's base value is higher than everyone else's, including Sasha's right now.I think while the Russian fed. Do love Kamila it's possible they love Anna more? Yeah, as well as the difference between a 3T and a 2T.I think the point gap is more because Kamila has two 4T’s and 4T is worth less than both 4F and 4Lz
Those last 5s had me like "look at you go gurllll".Kamila brought so much sass to Bolero! Her gaze at the end of the program! Most effortless quads she’s ever done. She really gave it all tonight.

Alena also wanted to compete. Her coach withdrew her, despite her wanting to be here.To those that were saying Anna should have withdrawn and still stand with that: You may view her as a child, a minor, that is running blindly towards medals like a race horse and needs to be told what to do and reigned in by her parents and coaches, who, simply cause they are older, know her body better than herself.
But it is not that simple. These girls have been professional athletes their entire lifes. Their whole existence is based on controlling and hearing their bodies. And if Anna was as 100% convicted that her body would be able and healthy enough to do what it did, as she says she was, then I'd like to suggest the perspective that this intuition is sth nobody can have, no parent who has never stood on skates, no coaches who were never at her level and definitely no posters on an internet forum, only the athlete in her own body.
I noticed after the free skate she seemed, beyond the happiness, kind of calm? It was very different compared to after the short. No heavy breathing or anything. To those that were saying Anna should have withdrawn and still stand with that: You may view her as a child, a minor, that is running blindly towards medals like a race horse and needs to be told what to do and reigned in by her parents and coaches, who, simply cause they are older, know her body better than herself.

This answer looks like you didn't read my comment at all.Alena also wanted to compete. Her coach withdrew her, despite her wanting to be here.
I think it might be a National Team spot for Liza N!!! But we mustn't be too sure. This season is different and who knows what the RusFed will do. I suspect that they will go with old WorldStandings which means that Samodurova is still in it...CALLING FOR ANYONE, ANYONE WHO HAD LIZA N. AHEAD OF LIZA T. ON THE 2020 BINGO CARD?
(Does this qualify her for the national team? It's top 6, right? I'm losing my mind over here, Liza N. got me into following figure skating)
Daria too. I thought at least one would succumb to the pressure (and/or illness or injury). They were phenomenal. So a while back I said the chances of all of Anna, Sasha, and Kamila going clean were close to 0. And now we're here.
I actually did. The comment was that the girls know their body best. Alena didn't make the decision to withdraw at all. Plushy, by his own words, listened to her doctor and withdrew her. This answer looks like you didn't read my comment at all.
Clearly everyone "wants to" show up at nationals.
Alena's team suggested she withdraw despite wanting to go- she ended up agreeing.
Anna's team suggested she withdraw despite wanting to go- she did not agree.
And both these girls may probably know their own capacities better than internet posters or, as I say in the original post, adults around them that apparently always know their bodies better than themselves simply cause they are older.
