In the team event the jumping competition is girls vs boys. Each team has 4 members.

Girls: Anna, Sasha, Kamila, Liza

So Daria and Alyona will not take part in the jumping competition

Boys: Misha, Makar, Andrei, Dima
No Samarin, Kondratuk
Well it does make sense to pick the quads/3A girls over Aliona and Daria who at this moment have neither.

So men are: Kolyada, Ignatov, Mosalev and Aliev?

CSKA novices seem to get some bonus, but what about Nastya Gubanova who was so underscored while with Buyanova? I mean, she's literally been underscored her entire life but... no CSKA bonus for her? Also aren't Tsibinova and Frolova CSKA skaters technically as well now (they train with Davydov right? And he works at CSKA?). But where is their bonus?
Yes you are correct non-existent cska bonus for Nastia and others while at cska under Buyanova. I remember the Russian cup final SP of 2019 Nastia had an excellent SP and they held her down. It was ridiculous. But the competition wasn't about her.

Remember this coach at cska had Nastia Maria Elena and Polina at the same time and nothing happened for any of them.

Good catch Queen.

Is Kostornaia not performing at the jumping competition supposed to be concerning? :(
I think people should stop expecting her to whip out 3A at every competition. She's still regaining her form, I would say it would be more sensible to expect it next season. Seems to me she can still contend for worlds team, if she delivers clean and polished skates without it. So in the short run that's probably the most important goal. 3A will be a goal in the long run.
She'll have enough time just to train 3A over the summer, without worrying about polishing programs, so I would assume that's the plan right now.

I just didn't know how/why they were selected. The last I knew she had COVID, so I wanted to know if it had anything to do with her health.

It probably means she doesn’t have it back yet... if it was back, we’d see it reported on IG, I think :)
yeah, seems like she was impacted by a ton of factors, covid included.

Outline of the Team Competition schedule:

Friday Feb 5th
- First the jumping competition (boys vs girls)
- Then the draw. Actual teams selected.
- Then captains Zagitova and Medvedeva will perform exhibition numbers

Saturday
- Teams SP

Sunday
- Teams FP

All it means is that she has no 3As back, it's not concerning at all. Unless you were expecting her to have 3A.
As stated, I didn't know the competition format or selection criteria. I thought she might still be sick with COVID.

I don't think Kostornaia needs to get the 3A back ASAP. WCs won't happen. She can take her time to recover it over the off-season.

Women vs Men jumping competition!

Russia becoming sports equality front runner... :sneaky:
And here they are:

LOL, a mess.
Sorry for the off-topic. I can remember how active you were around 2014-15 in the ladies' related threads when the "Russian thread" even did not exist - I created the first "State of Russian ladies" thread around 2015. For many years to come I can't remember seeing you here at all. Now not only are you one of the prime contributors - you carry Russia's flag on the avatar. What has changed? You finally realized that ladies figure skating these days is by far and large about what is happenning in Russia? Just curious.
