Russian cup final used to be a good competition when it was basically for the 2nd and 3rd tier Russian ladies. Now it's turned into a big political or commercial battle between factions for who gets the last spot for worlds.
I would love to see the skaters you named add to the competition. But the federation other than Zhenya does not give a damn about them and things will get more impossible for these ladies when KV Dasha and Maia go senior next season.
What do they do about Alina? Do they hold a Grand Prix spot and funding for her with 3 of her younger teammates going senior next season? I only think they hold a Grand Prix spot in funding for AZ if she makes a commitment to competing next season which I don't think any of us expect at this point.
As for Zhenya i think she has the will to compete she just needs an off season of healing and training consistently to get back into top shape. It's been a brutal last 6 months for her let's hope the next 6 months are wonderful for her.
Did Sima even compete this season?
Just curious but how many have skated in this competition in the last few years? 16? 18? The fed can make the 2nd half of the competition field much stronger by inviting the ladies you named. But I have no hope that they will do that because that would make sense.

I don't like how the Russian federation has botched this Corona virus disaster with their athletes especially the pair skaters of which they have 2 or 3 world class teams like got sick. Now we're gonna have girls trying to jump to be boys and doing something different than their normal programs and that's risky business. Good luck winning elaborate gold if Anya or Kamila blow out a knee doing this bullship jumping competition.
Keep your fingers crossed disaster does not strike. Remember no one is in normal February form because of the pandemic and asking them to do other things but they never do I bank is risky business.
Maybe it will be back, since that's from the official YT page? Or someone will link the official website, I guess, but that requires VPN usually...

Watching the Chaikovskaya prizes comp, and Ksenia just landed a 4T in the warm up. Likely wasn’t fully rotated, but great to see her trying new elements, so nice to see that she’s doing better after her injury and seems to be fully recovered.
She also did a Lz-Lo in the warm up.

Underrotated but not a downgrade.
When it's underrotated it's already worth having in the program so we'll see when she decides to add it.

This girl is like a same age as sasha so if she was with TT she would have a much better chance to go to the Russian cup or sneak into to the 3rd spot for worlds. EG eeds to make a move on Ksenia before plushie does. Or maybe plushie can't add 1 more great girl the same age as sasha and Aliona because it could alienate one of his new stars.

Ultimately it's just junior Nats and it might not even matter after the LP. But just such a strange call.

That one should of course be a 3A+COMBO with reduced bv and without counting the +3T but CSKA gonna CSKA.

Seeing that in a real time I thought it was OK when it was preserved as a 3A+3T combo, from this gif it is obvious she put her weight on the free leg, so it should be only 3A+COMBO: "free foot can touch the ice, but no weight transfer".

As much as I love Sofia Samodelkina, yeah, that should've been 3A+COMBO.
But funny that some people say stuff like "CSKA bonus" when Tsibinova and Frolova were underscored IMO.
