thanks... in good shape yes of course, but it's still a mystery to me if the ankle on her landing foot is not okej. Actually I thought she had a left hip injury(don't know where I got that from)

Whatever... I hope she's back on track :)
I made a mistake. 😅

I meant her left ankle. :)

These ones...?

OMG, I legitimately laughed out loud at that.

Petition for the next jump fest to be conducted with all participants dressed like that. :laugh2:

There was some interview with Sasha, at some point after Nationals, I remember fairly clearly: she said she would have wanted to perform more quads in the LP, she was asked why she couldn't, she said she was injured, she was asked what the injury was, and she said quite clearly and deliberately that she wouldn't comment on the nature of the injury. And that was that.

It was impressive, wasn't it?

As of today Anna, Sasha, and Kamilla look almost invincible as the next Olympic podium. Well, Kamila with just 4T-3T and 4T will be under pressure from Rika. Eteri has chosen 3A for her and it's a wise move because of SP. If Kamila stabilizes 3A she will need no new quad to beat Rika.

Anna showed today both 4Lz and 4F. Her only challenge this year can be clean Sasha with 4 quads.

Having humiliated the guys today Russian ladies showed one more time how far ahead they have moved the boundary. I know that there still will be some lamenting about "good old times", about exquisite "artistry, musicality, and skating skills" shown by usual suspects from the past. But this lamenting will gradually die down together with those who think that the grass was greener.

And I am happy to witness the revolution in ladies figure skating which started for me with "the girl in the red coat" and is running at full speed now with the new generation of truly amazing skaters.

I hope that all of them will be as impressive during the next 2 days as they were today.
Don’t worry about me. I am not lamenting the good old days. More jumps, less of everything else. Haha

Does anyone know Natalia Lagutova's birthdate? I'm only seeing her birth year listed...

Plushie may also make a move on Sofia Samo as well. We know he is a great recruiter.
A spectacular recruiter!
I'm sure you're joking but I hope he doesn't! He has to focus on Nika Z and Sofia Titova!
And other than first place in each discipline, no one was named for the World's Team.
But they've never done that before, the top two eligible skaters have always been picked to go and if there's a third spot then the Coaches Council comes into play. I just wonder if the skaters knew about the change in procedure, because otherwise it'd be like the rug being pulled out from under you.

I think that's the issue though. You perceive things as a personal attack on YOU. It isn't.
Yes, I have to work on that, but at the same time it was a personal attack on T/M, Vladimir especially gets accused of having no personality whatsoever, I follow his Insta and he does laugh, have fun and hug dogs just like all our favourite skaters. I just found it really nasty to act like he was some sort of robot with no feelings, like I don't know, people think it's a funny thing to say, but how saying someone doesn't have basic human emotions is funny is a mystery to me. He's got resting serious face like a lot of people, cut him some slack.

Doug, it's 5th June :)

The commentators' reactions to her 4T were
(They seemed to be blathering on about inconsequential stuff and were caught by suprise.)

Prompted by Liza's serial-2As, I wondered, are there many (any) cases of 3A-3A cascades in competition? Or any other combination involving two 3As, like 3A-euler-3A or 3A-2-3A? (thinking of men's, presumably)

Yuzuru had the famous 4T-3A (totally undervalued) in his Origin program at the 2019 Worlds. Alas due to it being a +seq it lost 25% of its value, I believe.

https://youtu.be/GJ799TyGYxM - at 3.20 (sorry can't link directly on mobile).

I remember thinking he must have won after that I was trés disappoint he did not 😅

Not a 3A-3A but Misha did do a 4T+3A in the warm-up.
