I know this is probably going to start some fights, but I just watched Evgenia’s and Alina’s exhibitions, and Evgenia looks in good form! I was pleasantly surprised, and I can tell that she is more focused on competition than Alina. Alina’s choreography involved many more cross-overs and a couple mistakes. Congrats to both though!

Why fight? Zhenya was amazing - a true artist. The problem is that she did not even go for a 3T - just 3S. Alina is clearly out of competitive shape now. Can she get one? I don't know. After what the quadsters showed why bother?

Anna joined "Khrustalnyi" in 2007, 1 year before Eteri and Evgenya, 7 years before Daniil, so it's kinda natural the long-lasting bond developed between them. Being good soul and devoted student helped as well I guess.

How could this angel Anna survive 13 years of EG scoldings and criticisms? My guess is she had some compliments thrown in along the way too.

Veronika should return to Sergei Rozanov. Maybe next season.

A second Sotnikova. And Sotnikova is 4-time Russian national champion.

No offense but her competitors didn’t land quads and 3A in combination.

As for Veronika, she struggled in her sp, last time it was in her free. I have the feeling that she has a lot of pressure maybe from her mother. Parents shouldn’t meddle in their children´s trainings. Firing Sergei was not the best thing to do after changing coach. when you want more, sometimes you have less. She’s a very beautiful and talented skater.

Sometimes, I understand Eteri’s feelings, Veronika with her potential, should challenge Sofia like Sofia did last year with Kamila.

From what weve heard she injured her left ankle. Probably a sprain from the 3A fall at Rostelecom but its never been confirmed one way or another. They have stated that because of this injury she wasnt training 3A, 4T and 4S between rostelecom and nationals because the stress on the left ankle was to great in those jumps. Tripples seem to have been fine and 4Lz mainly uses the right foot for takeoff so that was apparently also fine.

I saw a video of her last week (think it was on instagram, possibly AoP) doing 4S in harness which made me think that if she is back to practicing 4S the 4T is probably also on its way back.

All the more reason to jump that quad loop!

I don’t want to fight! Evgenia was great, but it was unfortunate to see only one type of jump. Due to the likeliness of not making the Olympic team, I hope she makes it to worlds at least because I want to see her skate internationally!
