I don’t know why but Daria is always last🤔. This girl has nerves of steel 👏 bravo
I think it’s strategic, they use her gentle and beautiful skate (beauty on ice) to loosen the atmosphere after the big shots.
It was sweet from Alina to come at her with all the team and congratulate her 👍

But what if Kseniia Sinitsyna gets to compete at RusCup Final and lands a rotated 4T and 3Lz+3Lo?
I think she would need to beat Liza and Aliona by quite a bit. Both have a stellar international reputation and Anna is the reigning European/GPF champion and I think they would also take Liza - she's at least a known and decorated international skater - over Kseniia. Kseniia hasn't been seen in competition domestically or internationally since she was a junior. And she hasn't broken 215 internationally. A 3A less Aliona can score around 225 and Liza is around there too. Especially with body of work coming into play. Even if they just look at this year both Aliona and Liza at not full potential can score quite high and Liza won Rostelecom.

I also think it's only really one spot that's at play. Anna is already named and Sasha is pencilled in and getting better. Plus both can beat a 4T and 3Lz+3Lo with watered down skates. Besides if Aliona gets her 3A back it's game over. She's going for the 3rd spot as she can beat Sasha and Anna, especially as it stands. Aliona with her 3As back scores around 245-250. That's better than everyone else. Anna needed to be completely clean with 3 quads and a 3Lz-3Lo to touch/beat that. A single 4T and a 3Lz-3Lo will go nowhere close.

EDIT: Edited to add, for now it's game over and better than everyone else for the World's spots if Aliona gets her 3As back. Kamila changes all of that. But also that changes if Sasha/Anna can upgrade consistently. If they also both add consistent 3As to the SP it's all changed again.e

I'd like to know who is responsible for Daria's make up... The greenish blue dress combined with the dark and green make up made her look almost sick. I found it too distracting to actually enjoy her skating and I think with less make up she would look so much better...

With the younger girls it's hard to visualise their body types because at this stage they are still very tiny.
The younger girls are certainly hard to tell now -
I do see it becoming a bigger problem for Samodelkina, than say, Akatieva and Muravyeva.
Could also be a problem for LizaB (she reminds me of LenaR), as her jumps very much rely on her rotation speed right now (though her take-off technique is wonderful!)
And Adelia...she will most likely hit a growth spurt vertically than horizontally haha...I just love her so much.
(These girls are all so wonderful...puberty, please be nice to all of them!!!)

And Daria skates last, again.
Is skating last a bad thing? I always thought it would better, although I guess the waiting could get to you. I'd want to go last so that I knew right away where I finished. Like imagine going out skating your best ever, being in the lead and then having to watch 3 or 4 skaters go and maybe see your place drop down. It would be awful!
I just realized that Russian Cup final skate off would be Billie Eilish SP vs Billie Eilish SP.
Now that IS awful. Did Liza not enjoy Spartacus? I wish more than anything she'd go back to it! Lovely offers nothing new or different, it's totally generic. The costume is fab of course, but aside from that...

I wonder why she change it? Did the Russian Figure Skating Fed meddle again? Man, they're worse than the Scooby Gang! :p

I don't know what's the big deal with Dasha skating last. 😅
She's clearly able to deliver hehe :D

Sasha is in a bit of an advantage performance-wise I think. In the sense that it would be kinda less obvious that Dasha is better in portraying it. :)
At this point, I think it's honestly becoming almost a running joke that Daria will inevitably skate last in the free. No need for a draw for her, we know already she'll be the final skater.

I confess that when I compete in sports where you go out one at a time, I generally like to go first. The waiting gets to me, and makes me nauseous and faint; I would rather go out there as soon as possible, do the best I can, and then sit back and enjoy watching everyone else's rounds/tests. Once actually in the ring or over the starting line, I'm fine, but I get so anxious waiting! (Also, because as an equestrian, there is a horse in the equation, and my mare gets really worked up as more horses come into the warm-up ring, so if we're first to go, there are fewer people warming up and we are able to perform better in the arena. This is not an issue for figure skaters, of course.)

That's kind of depressing because Kseniia is one of the best full-package skaters out there. Also she has broken 215 internationally - JGP Italy and it was with junior PCS and no choreo sequence so with the PCS she deserves and a choreo sequence she'd probably be around 220 also without 3A or quads or even 3Lz+3Lo. She also did a 3Lo instead of a 3F and a FSSp instead of a FCSp so maybe 221.

Maybe it would be better for her and Daria to skip the final, work on getting quads + 3As and then come out next season with a full arsenal.

As for Anna after her program- why interpret sth into nothing again? She was crushed and had an exaggerated hard reaction on herself, like she and most of the Eteri girls always do, because she made what in that camp is considered huge mistakes in her skate.
Maya had the exact same sad tired face, hunched over posture and eyes to the floor.
There doesn't always have to be some secret illness or injury or mental issue be discovered as to why a girl cannot skate a 4Lz 4F 3Lz-3T 3Lz-3Lo program clean everytime - it's simply incredibly hard.

It was a very enjoyable event, big congrats to all the ladies but especially to Daria who showed again that she can go last and gather the results when it matters the most (it must have been quite tough for her to know that the placement of the entire team depended ultimately on how well she would perform). Again, I already liked her before, this competition cemented my respect for her even more. Bravo!

I think it's a personal preference, skating last can be good or bad, for skaters like Trusova/Shcherbakova/Valieva that do quads if they go last they can make a last minute decision to drop down to a triple vs. a quad if they don't need to take that risk based on their competitors. But you also run the risk going last that you skate after an absolutely phenomenal performance.

No clue what prompted the change, Spartacus was better though this was the first outing for 'lovely' and most programs improve. Disagree with you on the costume, the costume is ugly, but I confess I dislike most of her costumes.

Ooo good point...as a nervous person myself I'm not sure how I'd deal waiting until last...on the other hand I don't think I could sit back and enjoy, I'd be like "Is she going to beat me? Or her? Or maybe her?" I think I'd actually have to leave the venue! I wonder if that's allowed 😅

BTW I know it was for funsies, but what place did Sasha actually get in the FS? I can't even remember her score?
