Her real competition is not out there though, it's right there in Russia and the fact that she stayed at the top there means a lot and it's a huge achievement that shouldn't be diminished.Except she has never won ANY major INTERNATIONAL title... you know the ones with at least a modicum of unbiased judging.
I’m not saying she couldn’t, just that she hasn’t.
How is this relevant? Not to mention one has been practising them for three seasons, the other for half a season.
Rika is 18 and can still jump these jumps, Valieva is 14. Learning something early/quicker doesn't make you better and is not a guarantee for a long and succesful careerKilla Kamila!
Dariya Sadkova is skating in the Inter-Regional Competition, Volga Federal District
Dariya is placed Second after the Short Programme.
Long Programme today (Friday)
Dariya's SP (you have to squint through the watermark)
But you are diminishing other skaters, as if they are not worth to be in the same competition as her.Her real competition is not out there though, it's right there in Russia and the fact that she stayed at the top there means a lot and it's a huge achievement that shouldn't be diminished.
I'm not sure what you mean by that bolded part. Are you implying international judges aren't willing to give Anna good scores?
Scherbakova was placed first in the FS at EVERY major INTERNATIONAL competition she's attended last year. Despite her having falls and making major errors, international judges did put her in the first place.
The reason she wasn't winning against Aliona was because of the UNFAIR ADVANTAGE Aliona had in the SP.
International judging was not the problem. In fact, at European championships judges gave similar PCS to Anna and Aliona (only a point difference), and similar GOEs.
How can an EG manage keeping Anya happy and at a high-level World Championship caliber skater while not letting KV overtake her too fast? I mean how does Eteri navigate and juggle enough to keep both girls happy going into the Olympics and then post Olympics?
But not a fact))))))is not something she can control
FS (bonus track - K&C prayers and swears)
She won.
But you are diminishing other skaters, as if they are not worth to be in the same competition as her.Nobody cares about national champions. Being on top in your own country doesn't mean much. You have to win stuff on the international stage to be somebody.
But not a fact))))))
That sure was an interesting K&C moment. Was this competition really so important
She did pretty good though in the free. Nice to see![]()

You rather fall trying than pop combos in Tutberidze's group.
I like this little firecracker, but have we witnessed a clean skate by Daria yet?![]()
First thing for info, Sadkova won the whole competition at the end (online scores), thanks to elements. One fall but the girl who won both SP and FS fell as well. I presume the channel that has shown the SP and elements will publish the free skate soon. The SP in Russian Cup stage 4 Kazan was clean

), which I don't think benefits her consistency at the age of 12. I hope she will be listed in Moscow for the next season already. Recently we have seen some girls gaining consistency at Khrustalnyi, some Daria and some Maiia. Daria, who at the start of the last season was hardly able to skate back to back two clean programs is now one of the most consistent skaters in Russia. Maiia still has some consistency issues, but mostly it's related to her quad attempts and she's still much better than she was like a year and half ago,, so I think we can keep some hope. are we really going to rehash this again? outside of Rika, the Russian ladies only competition is each other. that is a literal fact. winning Russian nationals THREE TIMES IN A ROW in the greatest era of Russian ladies skating is a huge huge deal. Anna is skating against her greatest competition in the entire world and winning, three years over. and correction- YOU don't care about national champions. But you are diminishing other skaters, as if they are not worth to be in the same competition as her.Nobody cares about national champions. Being on top in your own country doesn't mean much. You have to win stuff on the international stage to be somebody.
For her it was obviously an important competition to boost her self-confidence. But other than that I think it's in fact qualification for the novice championships and from those regions only the winner qualifies (at least that's how I remember the table with the qualification rules that was published in the thread about russian domestic competitions). That sure was an interesting K&C moment. Was this competition really so important

).Sorry but this just is an extremely misguided post. It doesn't mean much to be on top, in Russian ladies' field? Nothing could be further from the truth, in fact the Russian national and top domestic competitions tend to be of far higher calibre than the Olympics or World Championships. But you are diminishing other skaters, as if they are not worth to be in the same competition as her.Nobody cares about national champions. Being on top in your own country doesn't mean much. You have to win stuff on the international stage to be somebody.
Unfair?? I know many people feel that quads should be allowed in the short program for the women as well, but all skaters were competing under the same rules. Any skater could've taken advantage of the system by putting in a triple axel in the short program. It's not right to call it an "unfair advantage" when everyone is skating under the same rules. You can call it unfair if the rules only somehow allowed Aliona to jump a triple axel in the short program.I'm not sure what you mean by that bolded part. Are you implying international judges aren't willing to give Anna good scores?

Fair enough if you think quads should be allowedOk let me rephrase that. Anna and Sasha were at disadvantage because of the unfair rules.
