Original Dance

Moir/Virtue were spectacular. They will probably get a huge score. It will be interesting to see if they beat Belbin/Agosto's score from Skate America last week in the OD. I wont be shocked if they do.

Aside from V&M, G&P were the cleanest and they've clearly gotten better. Absolutely robbed.

I so wish I could see... I have no doubt they were better than the judges seemed to think....

Personally? I think the USFSA is just waiting to bump Melissa and Denis off... they don't get half of the attention from the USFSA's media as they should they're like the forgotten middle child... the only time they made a fuss about them was when they skated an exhibition with Johnny which I found really underhanded because while fallen angels was great it's not the only time they've skated beautifully...

Great scores for V/M, their new PB. I think..?

I loved their program, can't wait to see it again.
I would also like to see G/P's program in its entirety, the feed was going on and off during their skate at the most inappropriate moments. What I have seen looked good.

I thought G/P was not good at all, and they were marked accordingly. Virtue and Moir were clearly the best team out there, but I didn't like the program - they skated the hell out of it though. Great twizzles. My other favorites were Bobrova/Soloviev.

I agree with G&P being 4th in this portion. I didin't like this program at all, and I ususally like them. Lord of the Dance was too fast for them. The choreography didn't seem to match the music. I thought they looked a lot more laboured than usual. V&M were great, and I really liked the French team.

I love Melissa and Denis but I don't think this program suits them at all. I know it's just a first outing but I do hope they make some changes before their next event or if there isn't time for that, before US Nats.

All I've heard is what I've been told by other's who've seen it... and it sounds interesting, I was more worried that people would somehow start comparing them to another team that skated to Lord of the Dance pieces lol

I know I'm completely biased, it's just hard to go by other's opinions and not get frustrated... lol

I thought Tessa and Scott were fantastic. I may never want to read another interview with them.... well, at least not untill they reach their 30s... 40s?, but I'm very interested in what they are going to do on ice in the years to come. How do they know all these emotions they're sharing with the crowd? They are so young.

It makes me sad...V/M and Davis and White were neck and neck last year, and all of a sudden it seems as though they're miles apart!!! What happened!!

Well I will give you that it's interesting. :) So far the only comparison to anyone else that has skated to Irish music came from me but only my cat heard it. It was at the point where they did some dance moves and I said "WHEE!! Riverdance!"
