It's probably Rozanov imoDoes anyone know the choreographer of Aliona's new SP?
It’s not an excuse it‘s a reason. I know it sounds like the same thing, but it‘s not. And I agree risking everything for a Cup Final might seem a bit extreme, but remember next year Kamilla, Daria, and Maia are coming up to the Seniors. Even if Aliona gets her 3A back, she would need several quads in order to compete with everyone. This might be her last chance at a World Championship Team. Especially because she has said she might retire after 2022 Beijing.I don‘t think it‘s an excuse at all. Honestly, this is Aliona‘s Fanfest so I don‘t want to extensively talk about other skaters. But what Anna did at RusNats, while displaying immense courage, was also potentially very dangerous. What if Aliona does a similar thing here and pushes herself beyond her limits, only to end up with severe complications in the future? Then she can kiss her Olympic dream goodbye once and for all. I know in Russian ladies skating you have to take your chances whenever you get them but imo, this sets a pretty harmful precedent. And Aliona has dreams beyond this sport for which she‘ll need her body at full health and strength. She cannot and should not risk it all for a Cup Final.
Now, next season, is another thing. I fully expect her to have her magic back by then because she‘ll need it if she wants to make the OG team.

The hair was stunning as wellI thought she looked stunning - her makeup and dress!

I love your new Avatar.I‘ve been negative/realistic all week and my predictions have come more or less true (which sucks), so I‘ll try the opposite route and leave with a positive comment:
Aliona will do well tomorrow and she‘ll be clean and we‘ll see her smile after her program. There. That‘s all I‘m asking and it will happen.![]()
Me too -- I saw the scores before I watched the program, so I was expecting some big mistakes, but the first half was really quite smooth and beautiful. She was flying across the ice!I just watched the program. I had gathered that something had gone wrong, but didn't know what, and was expecting a total trainwreck, so was pleasantly surprised.
It was a lovely program, beautifully performed. It was sad to see Alena cry. I hope she has her cry out, can regroup and come back strong tomorrow. After all, tomorrow IS another day.
I'm not even sure what went wrong with the combo -- if anything, her 3F looked a little too huge, which maybe threw off her timing...?

We feel the same way. I saw photos from Aliona’s practice today and honestly she looked absolutely shattered and exhausted. My heart felt like it was breaking for her seeing her so upset yesterday and distraught today.Just watched her performance and my heart broke down with her reaction.
Can someone tell that girl that it is okay not to be her best after long absence. She is only a (super) human and this was more then amazing and I am sure she will get 100% in control within a month or so.
