When more and more ladies are forced to include quads to remain competitive, we will soon have the same hot mess in ladies as we have in men.

I think the problems on the 4Ts were mostly because she got rattled by the first mistake, but the 4S pretty much seemed like the troubles she is having with her 3Lz lately - during the toe picks she is sliding awkardly and losing height, hence there is no air time to make the full revolutions.

Usacheva doesn't use rippons on her triples (an anomaly in Tutberidze team) but still gets very high GOE.

She doesn't need rippon arms for axis stabilizing. Also, I don't think those tano/rippon arms get extra GOE's anymore.

It was a good experiment for Kamila. She had nothing to lose in this competition and I am sure her team will adjust the program for consistency. What a brave girl!

I liked Maia today so much more, had she had a clean SP, she would win today

Yeah, both the second 4T as well as the 4S were landed fully forward and should be downgrades.

I appreciate that she went for a more ambitious layout but definitely wasn't ready this time.

Also, shame that the SPs cost Khromykh the win, she really would have deserved it after the season she's had, especially after Medvedeva personally dragged her through the mud a couple weeks ago.

Yeah Evgenia can eat her words now. And it's not like Maiia was the only one who faltered at the Channel 1 Cup - Sasha and Liza T did too as much as Maiia did really.

I was about to crown Kamila as the next olympic champion, but I´ll wait, a lot can happen and nobody is flawless.

But her 3A rippon though, is so good and consistent now. Maybe the best I have ever seen? Who else have ever scored so high on a 3A?

I’m happy for Liza going back to worlds, very sad for Aliona but maybe not going to worlds will be a good thing in terms of slowly building up her stamina and getting ultra c elements (or at least that’s what I’m hoping).
