Given that she's already won nats, it's good that she WD...This competition is not important enough to risk further injury.
Well, Dzepka will most likely win, then I also expect Lidia on the podium. And the last spot will depend on if Streltsova implodes as she's prone to doing

Why are you confident in that order? Dzepka hasn't been very consistent at all. This season her average is higher than the other two but her peak is lower. I don't think there are any clear favourites without Kostyleva. There definitely isn't a meaningful gap between Lydia and Vika. That's even assuming Vika isn't perfect. The gap was 0.20 and Lydia matched her career best, while Vika was imperfect. Lydia in general is just as inconsistent as Vika. I would probably even have Vika as a likely winner over Lydia at this tournament. As an aside I think Prineva has podium chances.

 I mean, it could be in any order. Streltsova has pretty much been imperfect all season, and I don't expect any different here given how you can basically always bet on her to make at least one mistake. If Dzepka skates both her programs cleanly, I'd expect her to win. I mean, her fs score was only 5 points behind Streltsova despite her only doing 2 quads and falling on one. And ofc, a clean Dzepka will beat her in the short. As for Prineva...well, yea. Smagina and Sarnovskaya are more likely to medal than her

Sarnovskaya true, I forgot about her. Smagina not sure. She doesnt really pass 200 and just probabilistically I expect Prineva to land her quad at least once. The fact she keeps trying suggests she lands it in practice. But actually I was thinking she should skate without the quad, as based on nations she is capable of skating clean aside from the quad, and if she did so she'd beat Smagina's best scores. I doubt she'll do that though.

About Dzepka, yea if she skates clean... which she never has. Not with 2 quads. So the criticism of Streltsova would apply likewise to Dzepka—that she always makes one mistake. Yes Dzepka will beat anyone in the SP without Elena, but not by that much really.

Shesheleva/Karnaukhov are Terminators now. Not many senior skaters would deliver such masterful skate.

Kasins/Bregei slightly lower score than the previous pairs but again that's just relative to the overal level today.

Parsegova/Bogdanov unfortunately made the only big mistake so far, big step-out (close to fall) from throw jump.

Pity, they were absolutely great at Moscow championship older age, today it will be only for 56 points. I hope they deliver in the free.
