Dude... what? The podium difference was less than 2 points. What about the deduction? What about the simple impression that she started the entire skate with a fall? A clean 3T alone would have saved this with GOE and the rest.

I am ready to just hate-watch Eteri at this point. I hope she never wins anything ever again.

Alena Prineva — on the fall from the 4Lz, working on mistakes, and plans for the next season:

It's a bit sad that the first jump in the competition didn't go well. I tried to do my best on everything else, but there's still room for improvement. I'm happy with the competition. Yesterday, I managed to pull off the short program, and today I didn't mess up any elements I could have. Overall, it's a decent result.
I could have landed the quadruple Lutz, but there's always more pressure in competitions, so I fell. There was no point in skating without the quadruple jump, anyway — this competition doesn't decide anything anymore.For the last week and a half, the Lutz has been coming out well. I've been landing it often in the program, so we decided I'd try the quadruple Lutz.
I definitely want a vacation, but I still need to work hard,practice the Lutz and land more Toeloop. I want to go into the next season fully prepared and in good shape.

He is a terminator now. And I'm happy for Arseniy's redemption skate too. Esp. that he had guts to do another 4T late in the program after he doubled the first one.

Currently watching short programs. Russians sure love french songs. Pairs has interesting programs. Loved Diana Milto's program, Sofia Dzepka's too, so classy. Loved Agata's costume.

I know i didn't watch a lot of juniors competitions those last 2 years but i was scandalized by how much Arseniy has grown. Lev grew up too but not that much.
Edit: After watching their FS i think they're actually close in height, Arseniy is just broader.

I quickly watched the replay. Not much to say since I'm so late, but for sure Dzepka is the best women's skaters and it is not close. None of the seniors this season are on her level.
