Congrats Brian! But this performance must be dissapointing for him. Dai has a good chance to challange Brian's world champion now.
Come on guys, It's pretty much a 1st time out for all these skaters, give them a break please.
So Brian and Jeff didn't do well their 1st time. Doesn't indicate anything.
For Jeff it is important to show strong consistent jumping since he hasnt for awhile. As for Brian, of course it is silly to conclude much and that is not what I am doing, I am just pointing out that it is also silly some are giving him the World title again already, and his skating here shows that it is a joke some were doing that already. He is no shoo-in, he is far from the new Plushenko at this point.
...You are the only one who thinks it is a 2-horse race.
By the way Joubert's total here would have had him destroyed by both Takahashi and Lysacek at Skate America.
Um...what's that supposed to mean??? I see like 7-10 guys in the top fighting it out, and if some of them go clean, I believe they can beat a clean Joubert even with a quad in the short and 2 in the long; what I didn't expect was for Brian to attempt ONE quad AND FALL and then single an axel - last year's new confidence/training regime allowed him to skate pretty clean. And he looked calm and cool in the short. So, this surprised me.
And, I'm aware what his score means realtive to the SA scores -- and?

and Lambiel, and maybe Verner, and maybe even Lysacek. You are the only one who thinks it is a 2-horse race.

now. Let's see how his favorite Lambiel will do next week.
