Is it just me or were the judges kind of holding down Akatyeva's score today? (Maybe because she was the first skater? I don't think she got any edge calls either)

Edit: What would be the reasoning behind this?
Yeah looked to me like they were..Her protocols were completely clean!

I'm not sure why..other than she's the first skater and judges "leave room" for higher scores later. They haven't been afraid to give her high scores in the past. Not that her score is low by any means it's just lower than it could be, especially compared to some other skaters. (It's almost like maybe Eteri bonuses aren't necessarily things haha.)

I guess I'm in the minority here but I didn't feel like the score was too low? Her GOEs looked pretty fair to me too.

I wouldn't have given her step sequence above +3 (which was what most judges gave her) - she had excellent commitment and clean turns for sure, it was pretty effortless I guess too (there were definitely moments that looked very tentative to me though). It's not a very "original" step sequence to me (though that one is subjective I guess), nor does it really match the music or have any clear signs of getting faster/slower in accordance to the music. Also, both Adeliya and Sofia S got lower GOE and I don't think either of their step sequences were worse (IMO). Her other GOEs looked pretty good too. Maybe I would've had some of the spins higher.

Her PCS I thought were really very fair too, probably what I would've given her. I honestly think, in comparison with Adeliya's, they were actually a bit high! Like in PE, I think Akatieva was fabulous today but I don't think she was half a point above Adeliya, maybe more like 0.10 or 0.20, but again that's my opinion. Same with composition, I think I would've had both programs probably equal (Akatieva's hydro-blade is fantastic, but I think overall Adeliya's choreography matches the mood of the music more).

Agreed. Also it's the last SP of the season I think. Like what's the point of being upset at her? It happened. Bad skates happen.

The Sofias and Adelia were stunning! Essentially flawless. Sofia A was better than at RusNats.
Thanks for the update on today's action with the junior Russian cup final.

Vika needs things simplified where she can have practice's for a couple weeks where she skates her SP clean. Because once it gets in your head that you can't skate clean you probably won't.

It's not just you and they've been holding her down for a while or so it seems. I mean if you blow up for the scores for the TT girls on the junior level in the past or the senior level in the past why hold her back? I mean is it fair that KV scored over 250 at Rusnats then they hold down the scores of Akatieva when many say she is the best 13 year old better? Either way Sofiia is special and there are a few other special junior or novice girls out there.

Well without doing a social media dive to see other pictures, that picture cuts off majority of their legs, feet and where the are standing thus it can be deceiving - there was a picture taken of Shcherbakova and Khromyh at the first cup event and they looked to be almost the same height even though Shcherbakova is actually noticeably a few inches shorter.

Are we sure that the Eteri girls didn't already change to sneakers when Sofa still has her skates on. She was the last to skate.
oh yeah that's definitely possible, she's also still wearing her costume. I really did not remember her being almost a head taller than Akatieva so that's probably what's happening.

Yes we are sure. Samo is that much taller. Other pictures with these 3 show that.

At some point Petro will grow. What will that do to her game?
