Considering she got those sponsorships through AP, I think it is highly possible the contract would have a clause like that.
I would think there may be something in there that states if she terminates the contract early AOP is entitled to some/all compensation of the sponsorship money she received as a result of her place at AOP. In a lot of cases with companies with contract work where they pay for your work training or handle your expenses, if you choose to leave before the end of your contract you are obligated to reimburse them for the money they invested in you.

That's just business.

If the sponsorship contract had the (explicit or implicit) clause to prevent Aliona's leave, it would already be a proof that he's playing trick or treat. This time I'd rather believe he's not doing it, and Aliona could be cleared quickly.
I don't think there's a clause to prevent her from leaving, unless you mean that she'll lose those sponsorships by leaving as an "implicit" clause.

Plush is finding out that to be the best athlete does not necessarily mean to be the best coach. From my observation quite opposite is the case. Best coach is someone who knows his trade to spoiled perfection, yet has left competitive sport short of complete self realization. So was the case with Orser, Jutta, Carlo and of course Queen Tut.

It might not be a big deal, the contract with that toothpaste company? We don't know the details but I guess the contract would not have clauses that prevent her from changing coaches. She does have to come out of the contract by following proper protocols, though.
Or it could be a contract between the two teams, as Alena Kostornaia was no more training at Khrustalny but Sambo was still perceiving the governmental funds for her?
I don't think Evgeny Plushenko asked her to go, really, but I can see why they can feel relieved, such an accumulation of adversity in a year of beginnings and of many rink changes etc, and the worries, this was probably very tough.

Perhaps Kostyleva went back to Eteri since she seems to be on that dance video. It would make some sense since their issue was with Rozanov and Rozanov left. I guess we'll see confirmation of that when she skates in Russian younger age nationals later this month.

If it actually is true though, pretty awesome. And it would make Rozanov leaving a net positive for Eteri...

I thought I saw her too! Wow, that's some good news to me. Kostyleva seems to fit with Eteri's group - definitely better than training with some random coach and (her mother?). Her talent needs to be protected at all cost!

OFF TOPIC breather! :points:

I love how next to Plushenko Academy top athletes' personal houses and private rink, there are places like this in Russia: town of Spassky-Dalnyi in the far-east near Vladivostok with 40.000 inhabitants with much fs aspiring youth but no coach, found a girl in newcomer family, Valeria Mielnikova, who'd graduated in figure skating school in Urals in the past. They asked for help, so she organized fs skating school under the open sky and then municipal tournament which she judged herself. Currently 50 happy kids work hard under her tutelage.:bow:

Everyone's so caught up in the drama - let's enjoy Ksenia's new SP yesterday.
Jumps are more or less back in shape (hope she hit a 4T tomorrow!), spins look maybe even better. Her skating is just so poetic (yes, poetic is the word I've been thinking of) never want that step sequence to end lol.

39.61+32.56=72.17

She was at her best with Eteri, indeed. I think she would work great for the style of programs they tend to go for. Her club this season was Ice Forum which is a thoroughly random club with zero achievements. She still is by far the most advanced girl for her age but hopefully this year of development hasn't gone entirely to waste. Even if it's just a tryout for now, I can't imagine her failing...

I was also looking at how well the girls know the dance right, Kostyleva doesn't seem to know it very well so she must have been there for just a short while.

Detective Shayuki and her assistant MaggieLin are on the case 😂
seriously, how did you manage to tell them apart?
I saw Berestovskaya, An, Sadkova and Rubtsova. The rest were indistinguishable to me 😂
Yes, that's what I get

Front row from closest to camera: Rubtsova, An, Sadkova, Dvoeglazova, Bazyliuk
Back row: Berestovskaya, someone, someone, someone, someone

Polina Shesheleva is apparently one of them (Instagram says so)

Edited: I don't think there is Kostyleva
