No one of his girls have delivered this season...except for Trusova at Nationals. Other than that, Trusova has also skated below her potential.

It might be that she also wants to leave. A situation that is not ideal for the incoming Olympic season.

You're right, but then it depends on what meeting the obligations of the contract entails. I can imagine it saying she has to stay until the end of Olympic season, and if it does - financially she's screwed. But I can equally imagine it saying she has to stay until the end of this season.

Why did she leave if she wants to return with her previous coach ?
This is very messy. It’s like an employer pays a lot of money for your training and you have to refund him if you leave. This is logic.

She didn’t have this pb with Eteri, maybe she thought she could do the same.

Plushenko has most of her attention on Sasha now, especially with Alyona's leave. Out of the four/five skaters who switched to Plushenko she's the one who improved the most. She's the one whose technique has gotten better, expression has gotten better, and programs have gotten better.

And I wouldn't say Trusova's skated below her potential everywhere but RusNats. She landed two quads at Stage 2 and 3 at Stage 4 and won easily at both. The only two bad competitions I would say are Rostelecom and Channel One Trophy, and even at Channel One she landed a great 4Lz+3T+1Eu+3S+3T and a 4T. If anything I would say she and Anya performed the same level there, with both downgrading a quad (Anya's probably wasn't called, but it existed) and some weak combos (3Lz+1Lo and 4Lz+1Eu+3S).

Now, with everything that's been happening I wouldn't be surprised if she left, but I still don't find it to be that plausible.

Sofia Muravieva at Junior RusNats? You could even say Sofia Muravieva at Stage 2 (she had one spin that went wrong but everything else was completely clean). Titova at Moscow Qualifiers? Titova at her other local competition (for reference, she got a 191 and she's only junior eligible 2022/23)? Even Shulskaya has done pretty good (not A tier skating but she's been landing everything and doing moderately well in placements).

There seems to be a subgroup within PA that works really well. The one with Trusova, Titova and I think Muravyova is there as well. I think they're all doing well. Otherwise the PA seems messy to me

As far as I know Evgenia's coaches(including Daniil) NEVER said anything about her getting too emotional. However, Daniil has mentioned that Aliona gets "too emotional". So there must be some differences and we can't draw comparisons between Evgenia and Aliona.

If you remember last year at one of her grand prix events, there were news about Aliona leaving the ice in the middle of practice but then Daniel brought her back to the ice after some time.
I think she gets quite overwhelmed and doesn't have good control over her emotions.

I don't think they were saying Evgenia is hysterical. They were saying the opposite, that Aliona isn't hysterical for showing emotion the same way Evgenia isn't for showing emotion.

Wonder if it was precisely that intensity of Aliona's emotions which moved us to tears when she skated that awesome short program last season. Stark contrast with Anna, who is an amazing athlete, yes, but leaves me cold.

Yes I believe all three of them (?) are coached by Mikhailov. I know Trusova and Muravieva are but I'm not sure about Titova. Who would've thought that the most successful coach at AoP would be the literal one coach that no one had heard of before?

Considering how she left Eteri and has left Plushenko (based on the information we've been provided) and the current state of her skating competitiveness within Russia and the rumors of injury, it would be stupid for Sambo to pay anything to have Kostornaia back.

Well, she really went all in with that program. But she doesn't have the stamina for it...yet.

The 4T attempt looked better than the last one we saw. And the Lz+Lo combo is back.

This looks like something to build on though going into the next season.
