The ISU has posted their 'Where to Watch' document: https://www.isu.org/figure-skating/...d-skating-championships-2021?templateParam=15
Sounds like another case of the right hand not knowing what the left foot does, or however that saying goes.I just asked Eurosport whether they’ll broadcast Worlds and they replied back saying they don’t have the rights to do so. I remember asking them something similar around November and getting a different answer. This is honestly so confusing…
I checked the Eurosport schedule on my TV this morning and it's showing broadcasts for the first two days of competition on Eurosport 1/2! The schedules for Friday/Saturday aren't listed yet though.I just asked Eurosport whether they’ll broadcast Worlds and they replied back saying they don’t have the rights to do so. Interesting link....They show for the US, Peacock of course....but not NBC broadcast rabbit ears? Johnny and Tara are perhaps geoblocked in the US? The really nice thing about buying a week or 10 days of Japanese TV is you get 100 stations live and on demand. Worked out well for their nationals...I have been happy with Peacock, personally. The ISU where to watch is here!
France and the Netherlands are on highlights only, so it's possible the ISU will livestream the events there. At least, that's what they did with 4CC and the Grand Prix Series.
Watching skating is quite the mess .....So you wanna watch figure skating, do you? Here...jump through these hoops..or not.....Youtube geoblocking is weird sometimes. My country is always asterisked, but last year I could watch Skate America and Canada, Cup of China, IdF and Euros on Youtube, but not NHK, Rostelecom or GPF. Same was this year - I couldn't watch NHK or Rostelecom.
Well I can't really complain. Our broadcaster shows some events on TV and streams and stores everything on website completely for free plus we get Youtube sometimes. But I wish Youtube was available this time because after such empty year I want to watch it on big screen, not computer or phoneWatching skating is quite the mess .....So you wanna watch figure skating, do you? Here...jump through these hoops..or not.....

Probably a slightly more niche VPN option, but I have MacAfee Livesafe (anti-virus software) which comes with a built-in VPN as part of the package. It seems to work well for me, and is (I would hope) secure, as it's provided by an anti-virus company! For VPNS: I would not recommend Hola, it is free but it's not very safe and the geoblocking isn't super effective. ProtonVPN is free with connections to the Netherlands, Japan, and the US. For other free VPNs, check out Windscribe, TunnelBear, or Hide.me, which have more servers and are secure, but unfortunately have monthly data caps. South America probably won't show much of the competition, so if you want, you can install the browser Opera, which has a free built-in VPN that can connect to South America. That will likely get past the Youtube geoblocks. Just a heads-up, Opera is run by the Chinese government.
I wouldn't let go of your subscription just yet because I can totally see the free stream not actually working in the US.Damn, I just re-subscribed to Peacock in anticipation of Worlds and now they tell me it'll be on the Youtube stream for free?!
