How to watch the upcoming worlds?

J-Sports will also show the entire competition. The viewing options are here. The ISU should publish the "where to watch" in a few days.
Other options include fan streams. SYWTWFS might publish links to a few, and sometimes people on GS find livestreams as well.

For free, safe ways to watch, the ISU will livestream the event with geoblocks on their Youtube page. If you're in a country with a broadcast, you'll need a VPN with servers in a country without a broadcast.

For VPNS: I would not recommend Hola, it is free but it's not very safe and the geoblocking isn't super effective. ProtonVPN is free with connections to the Netherlands, Japan, and the US. For other free VPNs, check out Windscribe, TunnelBear, or Hide.me, which have more servers and are secure, but unfortunately have monthly data caps. South America probably won't show much of the competition, so if you want, you can install the browser Opera, which has a free built-in VPN that can connect to South America. That will likely get past the Youtube geoblocks. Just a heads-up, Opera is run by the Chinese government.

But Opera is Norwegian, not Chinese. That's why we get the weather for Oslo displayed on the homepage as default.

I checked the Eurosport schedule on my TV this morning and it's showing broadcasts for the first two days of competition on Eurosport 1/2! The schedules for Friday/Saturday aren't listed yet though.

Ah, good. :cheer:   :party2: :points:

I'll make out my traditional TV Schedule posts for Eurosport and the BBC once all the listings are up on Sky.

Now that the British Eurosport guys are doing the World Feed commentary for the ISU, I really hope that we have the same arrangement that we have for the Biathlon. Because it wouldn't be the same watching without our favourite uncles.

Interesting link....They show for the US, Peacock of course....but not NBC broadcast rabbit ears? ...

Update: For USA, separate listings for NBC and for NBCSN now have been added to the ISU Where to Watch page.

The very pleasant surprise of the asterisk *️⃣ next to the Peacock Premium listing remains in place.

ETA (on Mar 17):

An unhappy update this time:

Guess it was too good to be true.
The asterisk next to the Peacock Premium listing has disappeared. 😞

(As just a one-time "gift" [my word] to U.S. fans for 2021 Worlds, I suppose? Because the pandemic has caused cancellation of so many events? Only my speculation.
I am happy to accept the gift, no matter what. :geek:)

German TV Station ONE is going to show parts of Worlds, so if you can stand to listen to Daniel Weiss, and it'a not blocked you could watch their stream. They won't show everything live on TV, though. Here is the schedule.
Cringing just at the thought of it... (Tara and Johnny are still the absolute worst though, of course).
The only commentary I could somewhat stomach was british Eurosport and a polish one I once found on YouTube (frmo Polsat I think?).

Why isn't ONE/Germany listed on the ISU's Where to watch list, though?

ETA: Just remembered that the ISU YouTube Stream will probably also have that annoying commentary again, that they introduced last season... 🤦‍♀️

Canada and the US will be able to access the ISU Youtube livestream. And excitingly for me - the BBC appears to be showing Worlds here in the UK! I imagine it will just be the free programs, similar to 2019 but still!
Oh I do hope this is true! I would love to watch the ISU stream from here in the US.

So ISU will have commentary from Eurosport uncles??? 😍 Awesome news :bsplit::rock::jump: I am in Italy but I bought VPN for the occasion (it's for one year so I can also use it next season, hoping that the events will be better organized than this year and will go on 😁)

My mistake, the original owner simply sold his share in the company to a Chinese businessman. The company that developed and owns the browser is Norwegian.

Ah. I didn't realise that there was a change in the shareholders of the company. Thank you for the clarification.

Although you can never be sure just how much influence the Chinese government has over companies that are part or wholly Chinese owned, I would still be inclined to trust Opera a lot more than Hola.

Since getting a new computer at the start of last year, I have become very cautious over what is installed on it, only installing programmes from companies that are considered to have good reputations. And Hola was one of the things I had on the old computer that I made a point of not installing on the new one.

I don't actually know this for sure. I just assumed that the ISU would keep the same commentary that they had for the Senior GP Series.

Regardless of where it is (be it the ISU stream, British Eurosport, or even the BBC), I really hope we do get to hear the Uncles somewhere.

Robin Cousins may be very knowledgable, having been there himself. But his commentary is just not my taste. And I really can't stand that clueless reporter that the BBC have had sitting next to him the past few years. So, although they may not be as good as they were, say, 10 years ago, if I have the option of listening to the Uncles, I will always choose them over the BBC!

I don’t believe for a second Eurosport doesn’t have any rights to show Worlds to the Netherlands, be it via stream or on telly. I will wait and see, because as usual, that appears to be the only way to really know the truth. 🤪
Lalalalala.

Oh hey, look! It’s Worlds on both Eurosport TV channel 1 and the stream, both full events! (And opening ceremony on the stream.)
Gee, how is that possible?! (Rhetoric question, I think we should know by now that that ISU how to watch list should be taken with a big grain of salt.)

edit: I do stand corrected, it seems like maybe E1 might cut away from the Ladies SP 45 minutes early in lieu of a bicycling event. Not the stream, though... and frankly, I cannot imagine they would be stupid enough to not show the last group of skaters live. Although, this is Eurosport we’re talking about. 🥴

This reminds me of all the Brits complaining over the years that snooker coverage always seemed more important than figure skating coverage:console::console:.

Seeing my Eurosport linear channel schedule up to next Friday (czech version), all the "morning" sessions will be cuted.
SP Ladies E1 Wednesday cuted at 15.15 due to cycling (last group)
SP Men E1 Thursday cuted at 15.00 due to ski jumping (last 2 groups)
Rythm Dance E2 Friday at 15.15 due to cycling (last group)

However, still big portion of short programmmes live from beginnning every day, and on Thursday and Friday, there is figure skating scheduled 22:00 - 23:30, after free programs, so I suppose, this is for relive of last groups / best skaters from short programs

Evening events (SP Pairs, FS Pairs and FS Ladies) are scheduled to be fully covered by Eurosport 1 from the very beginning to the end, that is great.

It would be fine, if Eurosport at least covers last groups of SPs with commentary on Eurosport Player, but the experience tells us it will probably not happen

Well, bad news to everyone in the US: the asterisk by Peacock marking the ISU Youtube stream has disappeared from the "Where to Watch". You'll want to keep your Peacock subscriptions for sure.

Wow, that’s... really ****** scheduling. Who comes up with this stuff?!
Player and youtube it is, then. 🥴

Is the Eurosport coverage the same across all of EU? Or does each country have their own schedule and language?
