Any news on Anna? Have her quads worked?

Sasha's run-through today:

3F+3T, 4S (fall), 3Lz+3T, 2A / 4Lz+3T, 4T (fall/bad landing?), 3Lz+Eu+3S

I can't make sense of it. If I had to guess they've probably canned the 4F and are going for:

3F, 4S, 4Lz+3T, 2A / 4Lz+3T, 4T, 3Lz+Eu+3S

But I really don't know.

My guess is that they're still keeping 4F, otherwise it makes no sense for it to be first. Sasha was early in the warm up, maybe that's why she toned down?

According to Rockerskating her practice wasn't great.

Practice notes: Shcherbakova runthrough 4F(ur,fall), marked Lz, 2A, 2A, 3Lz(ur?fall), 3F1Eu3S(q?), 3Lz(e?q?)3Lo(fall)

But, she usually does much better in competition. I think she will at least land the triples.

Nope she was a very bad practice and couldn’t land 3Lz even. Only tried 1 4F and fell.

She had a clean runthrough before her SP, so it definitely helped her. This time she wasn’t able to land her quads for several days. I think they’ll try 1 4F.

Yes, the quads haven't been working well. The only landed one I have seen this week was definitely UR. However, I still think her competition will be better than her practices.

I think it’s not always the case. She seems to peak in the middle of the season, and does worse at the end. At least before RusNats she was landing both quads in practices. She wasn’t able to hit them almost at all this time.

Just today I had some vision that Yelim could really win but I still have faith in Anna, even if her practices were super rough. One clean quad+everything very clean should do it.

Oh dear poor Anna, I still going to hold hope for nats like freeskate performance. She was jumping her quads ok in channel 1 cup too what a bad timing for them to stop working I wonder how much of this is because of nerves.

Lol, given this practice, I'm now pretty convinced Anna will win the gold with a squeeky clean FS with 3 quads. She just likes to keep us on the edge of our seats. (Still keeping my fingers crossed for Sasha and Liza to have the skates of their lives, though. Can we maybe just award 3 gold medals?)

She told at the press conference that it would be very important for her to skate clean so she wouldn't add a quad this time.

i'd bet quite a lot. i don't follow practices in general closely at all but this is the biggest event she's been at in her life. she's going in as number one and is expected to win. that's a lot of pressure.

Anna can afford a few falls and still win.

Rika's the only one who can challenge her really but she's more than 10 points behind in base value and unlikely to be squeaky clean.

Liza is even further behind in base value and doesn't get the PCS.

Yelim is consistent but BV and PCS again will prevent her from getting gold.

Sasha is more than 15 points behind at the moment. She'll need 4 clean quads and all her triples clean to beat Anna because she gets less GOE and PCS.

Here’s a 4F+3T. She‘ll definitely go for two quads as she can afford one, maybe two falls and still win.

It is sad, but if Russia fails in this World Cup in ladies, it is 99.9% a fact that the federation will lower its finger to all those who participated to give confidence to the new Team Tutberidze who are currently junior.

Hopefully Anna can at least get the silver... a lower score will send her directly to the reserve for the national team at the Olympics...
