Actually the work of Davydov is very promising. There are so many good skaters coached by him at the junior and novice levels. He seems to be working seriously and is improving every year. It just takes time to have impact at the senior level.
Panova, unfortunately, seems to be limited by her facilities and will hardly have an elite skater. She is more likely to remain a development coach. Which is a pity, because I like her work.
Maybe I'm being too hopeful, but I really hope Kseniia Sinitsyna can become an "elite" skater next season. She absolutely deserves two Grand Prix spots IMO and if she goes clean with her quad + lutz-loop and 3A, she could totally win any GP, and podium at worlds (obviously with other Russians + Rika, it's harder, but still, she has the potential to win). She simply needs to work harder on gaining consistency on the quad toe and 3A and get two fabulous programs once more.

Could someone explain Kamila's situation and the Olympics please.

Will Kamila become a senior? Does she then do 2 GPs, Euros etc if she gets selected for them?

I really hope Covid doesn't tank everything this year!!!

Will be a bit of a reach, but I hope so as well!
Ksenia is such a thoughtful skater - really put a lot of her own thoughts into her programs (rather than following what the choreographer tells one to do). The girl is also not afraid of trying new things, in addition to her unique taste of music. I can't wait to see her new programs next season!

As far as I understand, you do not like the fact that the highest official of the federation behaves according to his position and does not descend to the modern infantile standards of behavior that we repeatedly observe on the pages of the tabloids from numerous odious characters?
Not at all, this is often the best answer someone in his position in our brave new world can give. But sometimes I just can't help but make a joke about it.

After the next Winter Olympics then world in 12 months EG will probably bave a couple skaters leave her and go to other camps because there's no way she can keep 6 or 7 top girls between the ages of 14 and 22 happy. Is there?

So TT talent will get spread out a little bit more to other coaches. ;)

I don't know if I necessarily agree that she'll see many skaters leave, or at least leave to train with a different coach, as of right now there's just not a coach that can come close to the results that she's delivered for the ladies. She's had several skaters leave and for the most part they do worse when they leave, the skater that perhaps has done 'best' is Trusova and she's not done any better than what she did with Eteri, based on this year.

If we (or better the ISU) want both quads and choreo the LP time must be prolonged for 30 seconds. Back to the old timetable, please.

Yep, the 4 minute programs for Men and Pairs have been yet another demerit to artistry in skating. The footwork sequences still need to be shortened too, and bring back 8 elements to the SP, the corporation-sized footwork is UGH. It really sucks how 25% or more of the time used in every SP the past years is dedicated to a single footwork sequence. And yet that element is also worth less than a Triple Toeloop, LOL! It makes no sense.

Not results-wise. But Trusova ends the year being able to rotate all 5 of her quads. Even with the injury in between. That's pretty good to me.

Trusova showed that if you have strong will and motivation, and no big health issues - you can make it.

She was able to do that in practice when she was with Eteri, but similar to this year she was unable to do it in competition.

Not even talking about being able to do it together. Except now you mention it, these run-throughs were with 2 4Lzes. Every year ended where she keeps all her quads is an achievement.

Word on the streets of RLT is that you become worse when you leave Eteri. Sasha's just a rule-breaker!

Not many skaters maybe a couple.

You make an interesting point when they leave TT the girl results usually decreaae although they seem happier.

I am concerned about the upcoming overhaul of the "Crystal". Judging by the last paragraph of the article, all the internal infrastructure will be seriously updated there, and this, it seems to me, is a very long work. Are they really going to do this before the Olympics, and where will Tutberidze Team train then?

The project of major repairs of the building of the ice rink "Crystal" in the south-west of the capital has been agreed, said the chairman of the Moskomexpertiza Valery Leonov.

The building is located at 97 Trade Union Street, bldg. 1 in the Konkovo district, it is part of the Sambo-70 Sports and Education Center of Moskomsport. Figure skating training is held there. Students of the center successfully perform at major international competitions, including the European and World Championships, as well as the Olympic Games.

"Outside, the walls and the basement will be updated, a hinged facade system with insulation and facing with cassettes will be equipped. It also provides for structural glazing of the facade, including drawing by laser printing, " said Valery Leonov.

According to him, the interior decoration of the main, auxiliary, service and technical premises will also be carried out. They will replace the doors, install fences for stairs and galleries. The tiles of the staircases will be replaced with stoneware, and the walls will be repainted.

"The walls of the ice arena hall will be cleaned of dust and lined with mounted cassettes made of composite materials. The sports and gym halls, the coaching area will be renovated. In the gyms, mirror panels and choreographic machines will be replaced, " Leonov added.

It also provides for the replacement of power panels and lighting panels, distribution and group networks, electrical installation products and lamps, electric floor heating, water supply, drainage, ventilation and air conditioning systems. In addition, the ice rink's cooling system will be updated.
World's top figure skaters are training in the basement, literally:

I just want to add my two cents about the people that have left Eteri and why the generally havent had great results.

At this moment in time Eteri and her team is considered (probably rightly) the best ladies coaching team in the world. And if you are an elite skater lucky enough to be coosen for this team you are not going to leave it along with all its bennefits (both in terms of training and political power) unless you are truly unhappy/ have lost all motivation for skating or are injured in a way where your body can no longer sustain the hard training methods Eteri is reputed to have. Of every skater that have left Eteri Trusova is the only one that doesnt fulfill either of those two criteria. (Hers seemd more to be based in wanting to ba a coaches main priority etc). Maybe Tursnbayeva as well but since she didnt want to leave that to me isnt the same.

In the first loss of motivation etc we have Tarakanova, panenkova etc and the 2nd injury group Tsurskaia, Medvedeva, Kostornaia (?). (im probably missing loads of skaters)
The first group quit or was close to when they where with Eteri and even with a new coach that seemed to bring back some of the joy with the sport they clearly didnt have the motivation anymore to work as hard as was needed.
The 2nd group of skaters injured at various levels it is my opinion that they would have stuggeled just as much under any coaching team while the injury is still there and properly healing an injury takes years which is something the russian ladies dont have.
