A major reason why I thought Mariah Bell's fs this season could have been so much better.

Mariah is probably one of my top 3 favorite skaters, but that program was never going to work. Too many songs, too little time in the free skate. It was even worse after they tried to fix it, like watching someone have a seizure on ice. Allowing songs with lyrics is one of the worse things they've done to the sport. In some instances it can work, but most of the time it's just distracting. Also made it so easy for them to censor competition videos from YouTube.

Aliona's performance here shows so much improvement! Her speed and flow is so much more like it used to be, and she is very emotive! Cheering her on.

Also: Aliona‘s skating looks so gorgeous in Adios Nonino. I wish they‘d repeat that program for the Olympic season. It‘s been a while since she‘s done it and it would need to be reworked anyway (last one was fully backloaded), so it wouldn‘t be the same. Please, Eteri.

I read somewhere that the dress she used for the Lovely ex is actually an altered version of the one she used for her SP at the Russian Cup Final.

It's similar, but I don't think it's the same? The back looks really different and I think the skirt is longer on opposite sides.

i would not be opposed to this at all. or even something similar. she does this genre of music so well.

Haha, actually I am fine with whatever programs she uses for the next season, whatever dresses she wears. She looks good so far, both mentally and physically. I am only waiting for one thing: that 3A! I'm sure she is using Dudakov's help now.

That harness problem emerged multiple times at TT.
One thing is working with Dudakov on the jump technique with the harness, but not having someone around able to use harness for skaters that just wants to practice safely seems a waste to me.

This dress was just so gorgeous. I hope she keeps it. Still sad that we only got to see her programmes at the Russian Cup final once - it would have been nice to see her have more time to grow comfortable with them.
