I'm aware I'm digging back in the thread a bit, but in addition to this point, I also wanted to say that Jason uses a very unusual cut of the music. The famous main theme on the violin doesn't even show up until almost halfway through the program - so for me it helps avoids that tired warhorse feeling.

I am looking forward to Misha's choreo for Ashley and Tim; I think with his eye and their lines, this could be a compelling program.
Each skater makes the music their own.
I hope to goodness you're right. That was not my immediate reaction. I'm worried it will seem like someone trying to skate to Bolero in the 1984-85 post-olympic season. If Misha has choreographed to highlight Ashley and Tim's talents for drama, performing, and exciting an audience, I won't (continue to) be complaining. And I did very much like the SP Misha choreographed for them to A Storm is Coming. So.

I'm impressed by Hanna Harrell's choices: SP Liebestraume and FS Turandot. Very unusual choices and should stand out.Ehh, I'm a little disappointed by that - the song is beautiful but I'm a bit concerned that the combination is going to be a bland and underwhelming FS. She does better with interpreting the more dramatic music.

Well, I guess I need to confess now... I liked Misha K.'s LP fine, but I did not think it was such a wonderful program that he claimed the music as his for all time. Or even for a season
I realize I am a minority opinion on that, but my first thought on hearing about this program was definitely *not* how are they ever going to match Kolyada. 
But I hope that they make it "their own" for those who feel more enthralled by Misha K's long than I am.

turandot is not that groundbreaking but everyone want to play it safe in an olympic year, especially if it's also a come back year.

She might surprise you, I mean I would agree with you if it wasn't Benoit's choreo, but it is so it should be good.

I love the classics and I'm not very concerned about whether a choice is groundbreaking. I do think it's unusual to choose two classics and she'll stand out for that reason.
