2021 Cranberry Cup International

I'm nervous for them all, and so looking forward to this. Staying up (it's almost 1 AM on the 15th here). I'll have to miss the men's (a pity, Donovan will be there besides some great US and Israeli men) because that will take it too far. But the pairs....oh yes!

On Gracie; I know people were saying that she looks joyless but I saw her face expressions very close (literally a few meters away) and I don't think that's the case. She does look like a perfectionist on ice, because she gives you these impeccable arm movements (very very clean, precise and controlled; overall very beautiful) and she seems to put the same pressure on her lower body but her legs just fail her. I don't know if it is because she needs to have more strength or maybe nerves. But she looks like she is carrying a lot of pressure on her gaze. She does look like she wants to be there on the ice though!
She wants to be here. And I personally think her musical interpretation is improved a lot.

^^ Awww, I wouldn't worry about T/M. They in Eteri's camp now. LOL! Just sit back, relax and see how it goes. T/M got the talent and this is their last chance, eh. It's just figure skating, not life or death. If they have good programs, and can believe in themselves and get out of their heads and their personal drama, they should be fine. They got the goods and the experience. Will the move to Eteri help them pull something out of themselves that will allow them to actually connect emotionally on the ice? Will they clean up the unnecessary mistakes? We shall soon find out. I actually wouldn't mind T/M or S/H taking gold at the Olympics. Let the young Russians grow some more, and actually earn the rep status and overdone PCS scores. :)
Eteri is here. I was surprised she would come all the way here for this small competition

Like this team. Some cool elements. They are improving.

That song and those literal costumes, though? Why adorable kids? Just why?

This is really something new...Audrey and Misha. Great unison, some spectacular tricks, still a bit juniorish but on the whole...very enjoyable!

I always wonder if it's a good idea to use "Fields of Gold"...like it's a bit awkward when you don't win.

I still remember Michelle Kwan's Exhibition at Salt Lake... second hand embarrassment, but maybe that was just me

Lordy y’all. I hauled myself over to where Adam Rippon was signing autographs. There were some ladies talking to him so I waited patiently. When they leave I wag my finger at him and go “no no no you are not leaving.” He signed my Pride flag in gold sharpie. I have been chasing that autograph for awhile. I also told him I had listened to his book twice and he needed to write another one😂😂😂
So that’s my Adam story.
